Miles Howard was your outcast at school, or that's what he thought he was. Miles was into video games, Spider-Man comics, smoking, sleeping, etc.. He was the child of an unknown woman and Gus Howard, Gus had cheated on Suze a few months after Cassie was born. Around that time Suze already was feeling nervous about her husband going out and cheating as women would eye him like he was a piece of meat.
It fucked with her anytime he would just let it happened, did he just not see it? Or didn't care? Or did he like the attention he got? She would never know the true answer and she would rather not know it.
Suze of course took care of Miles as his own mother was a druggie and couldn't go a day without putting it up her nose. She couldn't have a new born around that. Did she like Miles? Sure. But did she love him? She's not sure yet. All she knows is that she felt like she had to protect him, not just from his own mother, but from the world as well.
Miles James Howard was born on December 5th, 2000 to Gus Howard and XXX XXXXX. Miles is the middle child in the Howard family with his half-sister Cassie being the oldest by a few months and Lexi Howard being the youngest by a month making the kids all close in age. He protected those two like his life meant something. And they were the same with him.
Miles met Maddy when she came over to hang out with Cassie, the two talked up a storm and teased Cassie on her crush on McKay till the two finally got closer. They were close to each other and told things they wouldn't dare say to anyone else.
But knowing Maddy meant dealing with her asshole of a boyfriend, Nate Jacobs. The two would fight none stop but then act like everything was okay.
The first time they fought, Nate went to slap her but Miles pushed him aside and screamed at Nate for treating a girl in such a way. Since then the two boys have always had issues. Miles had issues with Nate due to him threatening to hurt Maddy. Nate had issues with Mikes because he felt like Miles was trying to steal Maddy away from him.
Miles joined the track team when he got in 10th grade of high school. It was a away to let out his energy (blame his Adhd). He won 89% of time and the school loved him for it. Track was on the verge of going away but Miles brought the sport back when he won most of the games in 10th grade, bringing the school back to the top 10.
Miles loved the sport, but he loved it more when Lexi, Cassie, his mother and of course, Maddy would show up to his meets and cheer him on. It made him want to be better for them and hopefully, bring Maddy's attention away from Nate onto him.
