- What do you mean? You're joking, right?

I was actually stunned. For context, my best friend just suggested the craziest thing ever. I know what you might think, surely it is not that bad. Well, at least for me it is, and since I'm the one who's narrating, I have the final word. Well, getting back to the topic, this is the worst thing he could have ever asked me for! He asked me to fake date him so his family wouldn't believe he has never had a girlfriend, which is true. However, it sounds like one of the worst ideas ever.

- So, what are you saying? Please, I really need your help this time.

I sigh and think about the pros and cons of this whole situation. Pros: I get to be with him for more time, free food, I could blackmail him into doing me favors... doesn't sound that bad. But the con that is making me think about it deeply is, what if he discovers that I like him? I mean, we have been friends since childhood and I've been keeping the secret quite well. But, what if?

I sighed again and reluctantly nodded.

- Under one condition.

He seems a bit surprised that I agreed, like he wasn't expecting it at all.

- Shoot.

- This can last only for a month... and our friendship can't be ruined.

He nodded understanding the reasons for my requests.

- Deal. -He smiled, like, big smile, lighting his face. That has to be illegal.
