The drive to the supermarket was silent, I couldn't help but side glance Demetri every now and then, the unnerving thing with that was I caught his direct gaze every time so I looked like the creep. Once pulling into the parking lot, I couldn't help but confront him and his behaviour.
"What's your deal, Demetri?" I said, swivelling to meet his melting gaze, "why are you in my car? I've hardly spoken two words to you and now you wanna escort me shopping?" I let out an exasperated sigh and lean back on the seat, his eyes still on me
"Just making sure you get the right food, Nevaia-Jain" he then proceeds to leave the car, meaning you hit the backlog and have to run to catch up once you fumble over locking the car. Shopping was quiet with no food choice contributions from Demetri, despite his argument to be there,
"You're hungry."
Those are the first words he'd spoken since we had started shopping, hit the checkouts and began trundling toward the car,
"Oh look!" I say in mock surprise
"He speaks!" I make an O with my mouth and pop the trunk, ignoring his blatant comments on my stomach capacity, I start piling groceries into the back of my four wheel drive with, surprise surprise, the help of my silent companion.

"We're home, Kairis!" I yell, to give her warning to help us unload, I wobbled into the kitchen with 4 bags and start unpacking, relying on the other 2 to grab the rest, weirdly Kairis hadn't called back so as curious as I am, I wander down to her room to find her door closed and I hear subtle whispers of her and what only sounds like her older brother, Mateos voice. I decide to give them privacy as Mateo is never home so it's great to let them catch up, I walk back to the kitchen to find most of the shopping has been done by none other than Demetri himself,
"I was only gone a few seconds, how did he manage that?" I shake the thought from my head and begin stacking tinned spaghetti into a low cupboard, once I'm done I turn around to find myself press up against the counter, Demetri's eye slide down my face to my lips, I lick them and his throat makes the deep noise like a rumble, intrigued I start to slowly drag my hand through the air to touch the rumble in his chest, before I get there, it stops as abruptly as it starts and he drops a bag of pasta into a cabinet right above my head, all his muscles are tensed as he leaves the room, leaving me visibly shaken.

I realised in that moment just how much I wanted to kiss Demetri Glass.

"Hey Nev, did you get everything you needed?" Kay had emerged from her room and come to join me,
"Oh crap, I forgot to stop off at home! I'll race out and be back in time for dinner, it's just chicken fettuccine, very easy you'll manage." I say in a rush as I head out to my car, I am so thankful Demetri won't be coming this time because there was way too much tension and now, my thoughts to make things more uptight.
"Didn't think I'd let you go alone at this time, did you Nevaia?" I pull a face of annoyance and turn to the familiar voice, inside I was pretty happy I got to stare at him more, on the outside...well you saw that. I get into the drivers seat and rev the engine, once he gracefully slides himself into the jeep, I speed off,
"What? No small talk this time, big guy?" I say, with a glance toward the passenger seat, his face is a mixture of unreadable emotions,
"Hey, what were you and Kai fighting over this morning?" This time he manages to look at me, his single worded answer left me dumbfounded
"You"
Pulling into my drive on that word, I kill the engine and let the silence drift into it,
"Me? What about me?"
"Things you don't understand"
I get out, unlock my front door and head to my bedroom, knowing full well that Demetri would follow,
"Then help me understand" I counteracted his response whilst packing,
"You want to understand?" I look at him and he's smiling smugly,
"the bastard" I thought to myself, "laughing at his little secrets"
He steps toward me and I back up a little, hitting the wall behind me softly, his arms come up and place themselves on either side on my head,
"You don't want to make me help you understand, trust me"
His arms start to slide down the wall as his facade starts to come back up, in an attempt to stop him from running away, my hands, with minds of their own, grab his waist, all I hear is him sucking his breath in through his teeth, his voice a little huskier than before comes out,
"Nevaia, drop your hands."
In silent protest, all my body can do is pull him within an inch of me, I needed to feel him and he wasn't resisting,
"Please....Nevaia."
His voice was faltering, I took this as a positive, green light, sign and closed the distance. You could fry an egg on the sizzling tension between us, without any gap between our bodies I could feel every hard surface of him, from his chest, to his legs and to that rock hard buddy down there making me throb, our breathing sounded disjointed and all I wanted to do was kiss him, I look up and he's staring deep into my eyes, I can't hold back any longer, I inched up and forward a little, leaving him space to close the small gap between our quivering lips, our noses touch and rub like Eskimos that can't get enough,

then the rumbling starts and all hell breaks loose.
