The Main Villa, Mallorca: Three Weeks Ago
The double doors of the villa loomed like the gates of a coliseum. Alexander St. Cyr stood in the shadows, his heart pounding a frantic rhythm against his ribs, a sensation usually reserved for the final walk of a Paris runway show.
"Humanize the brand, Alexander," his grandmother's voice echoed in his head, reminding him of the pressures that came with his name.
He stepped out into the blinding Spanish sun. The "OG" Islanders were gathered by the pool, a sea of bronzed skin and white teeth. It was a glamorous tableau, but his gaze found her, Chloe. She wasn't the loudest in the group, but her warmth radiated like sunlight. Dressed in a simple yellow sundress, her laughter sounded like home.
As he approached, Alex could see other couples:
Leo and Meg: Leo, the resident jokester, was a personal trainer who thrived on attention. Meg, his partner, was an ambitious law student reading the room with a discerning eye, her smile hiding both confidence and vulnerability.
Jax and Annie: The quiet yet thoughtful couple. Jax worked in finance, always weighing risk versus reward, while Annie, an aspiring artist, infused creativity into every moment, although she often felt stifled by her partner's analytical nature.
Tara and Ben: They completed the main couples line-up. Tara was a popular beauty vlogger, known for her bold personality, paired with Ben, a conservative tech entrepreneur who admired her flair but often found himself overwhelmed by the drama.
When Alex and Chloe were paired, it transcended the awkward, forced chemistry of other couples. By night two, they were whispering under the covers about their shared love for old jazz and the heavy pressure of being "perfect." Chloe was an influencer, yes, but her kindness grounded him; she saw Alex not as a St. Cyr heir, but as a man quietly battling loneliness. For twenty days, he felt certain: the "Ice Prince" had finally found his perfect match.
The Main Villa: Present Day
The "Truth or Dare" game had been explosive. There were secret kisses that set hearts racing and truths that revealed who the most "boring" couple was, a title that many felt stung. Alex stood by the kitchen island, his jaw tight, as Chloe sat across the terrace, her eyes rimmed with red. She was on the verge of tears after an Islander had suggested that Alex only viewed her as "relatable PR," that he was faking his feelings while waiting for the next bombshell.
"Chloe, for the last time, I don't care about the money! I'm here for a real connection!" Alex snapped, frustration lacing his voice.
"Then why didn't you clarify that during the truth, when Leo asked, Alex?" she countered, her voice trembling with emotion. "Why does it always feel like there's a wall between us? Whenever I mention the outside world, you distract me with kisses instead of talking it out."
He fought the urge to roll his eyes. They'd had this conversation dozens of times since their initial coupling, and she was beginning to sound like a broken record.
Sighing heavily, he finally said, "I don't know what you want me to say."
Before she could reply, the boys' phones vibrated in unison.
"Boys, grab your trainers and get to the front door NOW. No goodbyes. No looking back. It's time for CASA AMOR. #GoGoGo"
"Alex?" Chloe whispered, her face falling.
The producers moved in, black-clad shadows ushering the four men toward the exit. Alex looked back once, his heart heavy with the unresolved sting of their argument. I'll be back, he promised himself. I'm closed off. I'm hers.
The Casa Amor villa was a neon-lit sanctuary tucked into the hills. As the boys stepped inside, a rush of adrenaline filled the air. They felt like fugitives in a weirdly beautiful prison.
The villa's ambiance was a stunning contrast to the Main Villa, drenched in vibrant neon lights that danced against the twilight sky. Hues of electric pink, deep blue, and luminous green bathed the space, accentuating every curve and contour of the architecture. The luxurious pools shimmered under the glow, their surfaces reflecting the brilliant colors above, creating an almost dreamlike quality.
Modern art adorned the walls, from bold abstract pieces to sultry portraits, each chosen to evoke feelings of desire and intrigue. Sofas draped in sumptuous fabric sprawled invitingly around the main living area, arranged to encourage intimate conversations. Lounge chairs circled the pool, strategically placed for the best sunset views.
Laughter and chatter filled the air, mingling with the soft bass of upbeat music. The girls had formed a sisterhood, their energy high as they watched the boys trying to adjust.
Shay Justin: A stunning model, her skin the color of rich, dark espresso. She was fierce but also strategic, an entrepreneur in her own right, leveraging her beauty for a budding fashion brand.
Jess: A vibrant social media manager full of humor and wit, her playful banter hiding a more serious goal of becoming a successful influencer.
Lila: A yoga instructor who championed holistic wellness, exuding an air of calm but always secretly examining the dynamics in the villa for her advantage.
Mia: A real estate agent, ambitious and determined, using her charm to negotiate her way through challenges, hoping to secure a lasting connection in the villa.
The Casa girls wasted no time, surrounding the boys with an infectious energy.
"So," Jess chirped as she leaned in. "We've seen the drama. The fight today? Don't sweat it, boys; we're here to help you forget."
Shay stepped forward, gaze locking onto Alex with a fierceness he didn't expect. "Let's get straight to it," she said, her British-Zimbabwean accent smooth as expensive cognac. "We've watched you for three weeks. We know who you're 'coupled' with. But looking at us now... who is actually your type on paper? No lies, boys."
"Straight into it, huh?" Leo mused, playful as ever. But as Shay looked into his deep blue eyes, her resolve only strengthened.
"Yep, this is Casa. We the girls know what we want, but do you?"
The other boys laughed, flirting and gravitating toward all of them, pointing out their unique features and what they liked about each of them. Meanwhile, Alex remained rooted in place, haunted by the memory of Chloe's tears by the firepit.
Clearing his throat, Alex faced Shay, his voice professional yet strained. "My type? If I'm being honest and strictly looking at aesthetics... it would be you, Shay. You're striking. You're impeccable."
Shay's lips curved into a slow, knowing smile, but her competitiveness flared. "But?"
"But," he continued, his voice hardening, "I am completely closed off. I have a connection in the other villa that means more to me than a 'type.' I'm here as a guest, nothing more."
Shay didn't seem deterred; in fact, she appeared to revel in the challenge. Taking a step closer, the scent of her perfume, sandalwood and wild jasmine, wrapped around him.
"Closed off?" she whispered, her voice low and sultry, audible only to him. "Anything can happen here. This is Casa Amor. We'll see about that."
"Careful, Alex," warned Jax, his brow furrowed in feigned concern. "She doesn't come to play."
The tension thickened, anticipation crackling in the air as the boys faced their new reality. The stakes had never been so high, and the game was just beginning.
