The two of them were getting frustrated, actually that's not true, only one of them was getting frustrated. They were different in so many ways and yet they are stuck together. They were on a mission, a mission to sabotage a facility that was doing some illegal research. The files say that whoever owns it is doing research on the DNA that makes some people have what some call superpowers.

Not all humans have powers, in fact it's a 30% chance or lower to have them. It's inherited as well, specific DNA from the parents have to mix in the perfect way, though there have been no cases of second generations.

Scientists who discovered the DNA phenomenon thought calling them super-humans was too childish, so they've been named Superior Individuals.

Everyone with the abilities they have been born with have three choices for life: be a villain, a hero, or a vigilante.

Heroes get special training to harness their power, find their strengths, and learn their weaknesses. They have a sense of duty and responsibility to the community and will work with law enforcement whenever needed.

Vigilantes train alone and can have the same morals as heroes but choose a different approach to bring justice. Some just refuse to call themselves heroes due to a feeling of being unworthy. Vigilantes will be seen as trustworthy and treated as heroes as long as they don't cross the line with how they bring justice.

Villains are self explanatory.

Naturally there are corrupted heroes and vigilantes, which birthed a top secret agency known as: the Hero and Vigilante Loyalty Watch Program or H.V.L.W.P

The main goal of the agency is to watch the loyalty of heroes and vigilantes. They must make sure there is no corruption due to the access they have to sensitive data. A villain hiding behind the title of hero or vigilante is a highly dangerous. Vigilantes are thought to be harder to keep track of but it's easier than expected, watch the direction of their work over time. Heroes are harder because they stay set in their ways.

For some reason, the person in charge of the mission decided it was a good idea to pair a vigilante and a hero together and a better idea to not share their powers with each other. "Maybe it's so we can learn to trust each other! Oh, make a good friendship! Maybe even match making service?" The hero has yet to stop talking about what could it be about and the fact that they had the idea of the agency trying to make them a couple is one of the dumbest things they ever heard.

Now here they are, stuck the same car, to the same destination, and said destination is at least a week away. "Would you please shut up already? I'm trying to drive." The vigilante growled at the hero. The hero pouted, "Don't be so grumpy. Oh! Is that what your theme is? The brooding vigilante! Isn't that a bit cliché?" The vigilante was so ready to punch this person. "Isn't being a happy go lucky hero cliché?" The hero pouted again and crossed their arms like a child.

"You never gave me your real name? Or your secret identity, whatever you want to call it," the hero said making the vigilante roll their eyes, "neither have you" The hero's eyes widened "Oh, you're right! My name is Scott Marshall, my nickname is Scotty!"

Scott was a man with lean muscle and pale skin. His eyes were baby blue and soft brown hair reached down to his shoulders.

The vigilante shook their head, "Whatever, I'm Jamie, Jamie Blair."

Jamie had lean muscle as well with a light tan covering his skin. He had two different colored eyes, his right was grey and his left was green, his hair was jet black and short.

Scott's eyes lit up, "Jamie? That's so cute!!" Jamie gave Scott a death glare which made him stop talking. There was a slight pause before Scott started talking again, "Oh! I never got your vigilante name. My hero name is Pegasus!" Scott puffed his chest out proudly which made Jamie roll his eyes. "Figured it'd be something like that." Scott just laughed, "Did my energy give it away?"
