Chapter 1~ Visit

"Melanie!"

"Louis! Wake up!!" Four voices yell.

I jolt awake, sitting up while my breathing is heavy and ragged as I look around the room. Liam, Niall, Zayn, and Harry are all standing or sitting on the bed looking at me with anxious and sad eyes, and it's now that I realize that I'm still in the hotel room.

In Dublin.

"It's alright boobear, let it out." Harry coos, pulling me into his chest.

"It felt so real!" I sob into Harry's chest.

"I know."

"She has to wake up because I need her. I need my baby girl!"

"We all need Melanie. Which is why we're going to skip the next concert, sorry Niall," Liam apologizes. "To go see how Melanie is doing."

"Management is going to flip! There's no way they are going to let us do that."

"Well, Paul and I talked to them, asking if we could see how Melanie is doing. They said it was alright as long as we add a show to one of the days." Liam explains.

"Then let's go!"

~Heathrow Airport~

"I've missed London." Harry sighs.

"Me too, now let's get to the hospital," I state.

"Yeah. I need to see how princess is doing." Niall replies.

"Let's get to the car."

All of us get to the van and pile in, heading to the hospital. I rest my head on Harry's chest while he curls his arm around my body, holding onto me tightly.

My mind is running through all the possible scenarios of what we're going to hear when we get there. Is she going to be awake or is she going to be in a coma? Will she still be breathing with the help of the breath thing or is she breathing on her own? Well, she still remembers us, or will her memory be fucked? Oh God, I hope she remembers us because if she doesn't, I'm going to die. Melanie needs to remember me and the lads. She can't forget us, right? Melanie has to remember.

"Hey, hey, hey. Calm down, boo. Calm down. It's alright. You are safe. Stop shaking." Harry's voice hums into my ear.

"Please." I whimper.

"Louis c'mon babe. Snap out of it."

"Louis, mate. You're alright." Niall's accent speaks.

"Melanie has to remember us. She has to, she can't just forget us, right?" I ask out loud for anyone to answer.

"All we can do is hope for the best."

"You're right, you're right."

"Come on lads. We're here."

I take a deep breath before stepping out of the van, after Niall. Harry grabs my hand once he steps out, squeezing my hand a bit before pulling me to the entrance of the hospital. Liam, Niall, and a follow behind Harry and me, while Paul is in front of us. We go to the front desk to check-in.

"Hello, um..Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik, and Paul Higgins checking in to see Melanie Tomlinson-Styles," I state with a shaky voice.

"Hold on one second, please." The secretary asks. "Here we go. Room 723."

"Thank you."

The six of us move to the lift and Paul presses the 'up' button. The lift arrives fairly quickly, its automatic doors sliding open. We all huddle in and once the doors close, Liam presses the number '7' and the lift pulls us up. The air in the lift is tense with the anxiousness about what we're going to be told or see.

I start school today but I don't go in until 10:30 bc school for seniors, juniors, and sophomores (12, 11, 10) starts later than freshmen (9) bc they're new and need the school to be empty beside them so they can navigate their way around. But after the first day, all grades are together so school starts at 7:51. But I leave at 6:05 to get there around 6:20 or so. Depends on how fast I walk.

How many of you went to #OTRAMilwaukee?! OMG, it was the best shit ever! Harry and Niall were Wisconsin AF! And Harry was Packer AF! Omg, they loved Wisconsin and hopefully, they come back next year. I lost my voice bc of how hard I was screaming but it was totally worth it! Omg! THAT WAS THE BEST CONCERT EVER OMG OMG OMG! TAKE ME BACK TO #OTRAMilwaukee!! PLEASE!!

Anyway, I'm so sorry I kept delaying this update. Lots of things have been going on that it's crazy. I'll try and upload faster but I wanna focus on school as well bc I'm aiming to get A's and B's.
