Glory and Punk was inspired by the way Stephen King's 'The Long Walk' strips characters down to who they really are when survival, pressure, and proximity collide. I wanted to explore that same raw exposure—but through music, not endurance. This story isn't about winning a competition or saving a town through a miracle ending. It's about four boys from broken places finding refuge in music, sweat, and honesty. And with that, I also wanted to address real world issue that these characters go through such as: poverty, inequality, loneliness, identity, and deportation. The band becomes a space where masks fall, where pain is shared instead of hidden, and where brotherhood is earned rather than given. In the end, the real prize isn't money or glory—it's being seen, and choosing to stay.
