Brandi POV

What's wrong River?" I ask him. "I have to tell you something but you have to be strong" River says. My heart was beating fast. I was scared what he was going to say. He said what I never wanted to here or get to. "I'm not going to come anymore" River said sadly. Suddenly my heart wasn't beating fast anymore. It dropped and it shattered into a million pieces

I wanted to cry. I didn't want him to leave. I need him he's the best thing that has ever happened to me. "River please say you're kidding" I say gently. He sighed "I'm sorry Brandi. But you don't need me anymore" River told me. "Of course I need you. I'll always need you." I start crying. "Don't cry, darling. Don't cry. You are strong now. You have your friends who love you deeply. and your mother who works all night for you" he tells me

I looked down tears streaming down my face. "I came to help you realize that. That people love you and you're worth it. That you're not alone here" river said. He sat next to me. "But I want to see you" I cry. "Just remember. That I'm always watching" he said lifting up my chin with his index finger and pointing up.

"Why do you need to leave" I cried. "My work here is done. I've watched you from above for awhile and saw you weren't that happy. And I said 'God, Please let me go talk to her' and he let me come. But I think you're ready" River said. "I'm not" I said. "Yes you are. You have your friends and mom. In a couple of years you'll be in college. You have a great future coming your way" River said.

I looked down. The tears just kept coming down "why are you shaking" river asked me. "I don't want to lose you again" I cried on his shoulder. He held me tight. "Let me tuck you in to bed" he whispered in my ear. I let him tuck me in and he sang me to sleep. It was a familiar song.

I closed my eyes at his gentle angelic voice. "I'll miss you" is the last thing I said before faking fast asleep.
