Brandi POV

"Got any sevens?" River asked me. "Gold fish" I answer examining my cards. "Ugh. It's Go fish" he corrects me for the hundredth time. I giggle. We were playing Go Fish. He was winning. "Sorry I just feel like having gold fish crackers" I answer. "You can go get something. I'll wait here" he says looking at his cards.

"Okay. Stay here" I say running downstairs. River has been coming to my house many nights. I honestly feel happier. I mean. I don't get to sleep much. Just some naps here and there but it's worth it, really.

I looked for gold fish crackers but I couldn't find any. So I grabbed some grapes. I went back upstairs with the bowl. I sit back down "want grapes?" I asked him. I don't know if angels eat. "I'm fine thank you" he responds.

We started playing Go Fish again. "You know. Vegetarianism is a link to perfection and peace" he tells me. "Cool. Chicken nugget is my the link to my perfection and peace" I respond with a small smirk. He chuckles. "You know what they do to baby chicks when they make them in to chicken nuggets" he asks. "Yeah... They fry them and they turn out awesome" I laugh. "Okay then" he says.

River kept talking about vegetarianism. I wasn't really paying attention. I just nod my head and smiled as if agreeing maybe? I don't know. I just played Go Fish.

"Vegetar- are you cheating?" He cut himself off. "What?" I say. "You put that card under you lap- there's another one!" He caught me. I tried to hide the cards. "No I caught you already" he says with a smile. "I'm sorry I couldn't help it you were distracted and you were winning- I have a cheating problem" I confess. "I see" he chuckles.

I stand up from the chair and all the cards fall on the floor. "All of these cards?" He says. "Let's not play card games... Or board games... Or basically any game" I chuckle. "Do you always cheat?" He asks. "Kinda. But I end up confessing because I end up feeling bad. I was gonna tell you... Tomorrow" I respond

He chuckles. "Your funny" he says. I smile. He helps me pick up the cards. "Are you ready for college" he asked me. I was confused. I still have another year of high school. And he never really talks to me about my life. Unless I talk about something funny that happened with my friends. "Um well I still have another year in high school" I respond. "Well it's going to go quick" he tells me.

"Well in that case. No I'm not ready. Well maybe. I don't know I've never thought about it. Will you still be around?" I ask him. "I have to get going" he says. "Answer me, River" I say. "I'll see you tomorrow" he says. I grab his wrist from leaving. "Will you be around?" I ask him. "you won't need me anymore by then, love. You can do it." He responds. "River. I can't. I'm scared. I need you. I've never been this happy in a long time" I tell him. He grabs my face. "You'll see that you can do it. I'll come back tomorrow okay" he says. He kisses my forehead and leaves.

A kiss from an angel. I smile to myself seeing him leave. It's great having him around. I don't know how I'd do it without him
