"Find them, burn them to all the ground!" The voice echoed throughout the small forest. Their heavy footsteps rattled the trees and branches as each one of them brought their huge strange wooden weapons called catapults. Their attacks could match that of a giant which in a strange twist of event that is what exactly has happened. The kingdom of man and knights have attacked the stone giant's land. The war between them lasted for years, but the humans has now took the advantage. With their castles and home sent blazed the only thing the people can only do one thing, to run.

One of these people was Malayana, a young female bodyguard of the princess. She pulled her charge through the burning house and led her into the deep forest. She was confident she could take out a small party of humans by herself but she wouldn't stand a chance against their weapons of mass destruction. With sword on hand, the two female giants chopped the trees down like they were the same as tall weeds. With their long legs, they were much faster in covering long distances. Even so their enemies were not far behind.

"Hurry princess. We cannot stop." Malayana said, pulling her down deeper.

"And where are we going, pray tell? My father is gone and our kingdom has been destroyed." The princess cried as trinkles of tears dropped from her cheeks.

"Princess, you are still alive, that means our kingdom, our home, our people will live through you. There is a neighboring kingdom home to the wind giants. They will take us in."

As the two spoke a ball of flames shot right passed them, burning the trees in front of them. Now forced to stop, the duo turn back to see now their pursuers are catching up.

"Stay behind me! You understand?!"

"Yes!" The princess barely squeaked out.

In a matter of seconds they were surrounded by a party of seven men all armed with strange spears. According to the soldiers from the front, their spears can shoot black fire and hot stones. The stone giants defenses were overwhelmed by such weapons.

"Kill them! Don't let one of them escape!" The commanding officer ordered.  They surrounded the two giants and pointed their spears at them.

Boom!

Just as their soldiers said, hot stone and black burst from their spears. Luckily for Malyana, her armor protected her most vital areas but her arms and legs were not so lucky.

"Aaaaah!!!!" She screamed in agony, but in one quick swing took out two of their men. Despite the pain, the only thing coursing through her mind was to protect the princess at all costs.

"Get down!" The commander ordered. The soldier changed tactics and went for heels. This made it hard for Malyana to keep her balance. But she was faster than they expected. She swiftly kicked the closet soldier to a nearby tree, then stepped another one to the ground. The soldiers prepared another barrage with their spears, but this time Malyana was ready.  She grabbed the princess to dodge the attack. Malyana saw a crooked tree and with the last of her strength stuck it down. This crushed the last of the men.

"We gotta move!" The two ran away from the fight scene just right before their reinforcement showed up. They kept running and running until the sun was replaced by the moon.

"How much longer Malyana?" The princess whined.

"Not much further princess. We just need to find a place to rest, princess,"

Malyana replied, taking the front line. The two reached a fork in the road. On one side there was a series of gray mountains but on the other was a relatively small stream, although that was not the main thing. What truly caught her eye, there was smoke and where there was smoke there is a house.
