I sat watching everyone around me. It was true what people say, you can feel alone in a room full of people. Everyone was talking, laughing and eating with their friends.

I was eating my sandwhich behind a pillar in the canteen. I watched as the popular girls were giggling and fixing their make-up. Cindy, A.K.A Queen Bee, reapplied her red lipstick and pouted in her had mirror. She turned around and caught me staring at her. She glared at me which made me quickly turn away. I hadn't been at the school for long but I knew Cindy was pure evil with blonde hair.

I chewed slowly as I stared at the nerds playing their card game. They were laughing and snorting occassionally. The football players at the table in front of them stopped them by snatching the cards off their table.

There was so much going on in the canteen and I was watching alone.

As I looked out the windows I noticed him. He was by himself as per usual. He was hunched down staring at something. Most probably his phone.

After my not so successful attempt to see his face a few days ago I was going to try again. I quickly got up, grabbed my bag and dumped my rubbish in the bin.

I stepped out and the cold immediately hit me. I pulled my jacket closer to my body and walked towards him. As I approached him the leaves on the floor crunched underneath my footsteps.

He must have heard me coming as I saw his back tense. I tapped his shoulder and waited.

Nothing.

I tried again.

No response.

"Hey, I'm trying to get your attention," I said as I pulled his shoulder so he would face me.

As he turned his hood fell from his face. I stared in wonder as I looked at his face. His jet black hair was slightly ruffled, most likely because of his hood. His forest green eyes glared at me furiously. He had a strong jawline which tensed as I continued to stare at him.

He was...

"Beautiful," I whispered.

His eyebrows frowned at me as I realised what I had just said.

"Shoot, I mean, the day it's err beautiful," I explained weakily.

He looked around us and I did too. It was quite cold and the sun wasn't even out today. Typical English weather I'd say. It was safe to say that the day wasn't beautiful.

"So, hi, I'm Ana," I grinned as I held my hand out. He just stared at my hand oddly as if he'd never seen a hand before.

I slowly put my hand down as an awakward atmosphere washed over us, leaving me cold and uncomfortable.

"What's your name?" I questioned in a bid to ease the awkwardness.

Again I got no response.

He stared at me incessantly. He stared continously without saying a word.

I was going to prod him when my phone rang. My face grew hot and red as my phone blasted out the 'Camp Rock' theme song. He smirked at me as I fumbled to grab my phone from my back pocket.

"Hi, Mum, I can't talk right now," I said quickly as I ended the call.

I turned around and saw that he had gone.
