Never before would you have believed that a group of harmonious, young men, draped head-to-toe in retro goth fashion, would be eligible to embark on a previously impossibly-stated mission to retrieve sacred crystals scattered on islands across the seven seas. But here you are, reading about just that. And seeing as you are now joining them on their adventure, it is only fair that you get to know them before you set sail.
Meet the Sailors; a group of six determined and adventure-driven men, with nothing but their ship, their swords and the open seas aiding them in their dangerous yet thrilling journey.
Mark McCarthy is the Captain of the ship. Highly confident, protective, strong and inspirational, he guides his men with ambition to succession whilst laughing in the face of danger and death. He was raised in Ireland and England by his Ex-Captain father Cian and has fought many battles ahead of his sailing days, however these battles were health related rather than adventurous. When he was seven years old, he was diagnosed with Craniopharyngioma, a rare, slow-growing brain tumour formed near the pituitary gland at the brain's base, that affects his vision, head, bones, weight and emotional well-being. As a teen, was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and Depression. Although he has his health at hand, he never fails to prove that he is the brains, action, command and order of the whole wooden beauty, causing his crew members to admire him for his strength.
Standing at six foot three, and twenty seven years old, his body is displayed as very skinny, delicate and lanky, decorated with snow, deathly white skin, thick, dark brown-ish-black hair, cut into a medium, 1980s quaffed style, sometimes teased into a spiked, birdsnest look, and a doll-like face. His fashion is only suited, him always being seen in a neatly ironed, black suit, which makes him look either important or ghostly, with his sword hung at his hip in a case. Sometimes, he is seen without his blazer on, revealing his baggy, button-up, white shirts, though this is rare, or he'll wear a long coat if the weather is cold. His face is decorated with wide, light blue eyes, thick eyebrows, a small nose with a pointed tip, gently carved in cheekbones, plump, pale pink lips and a sharp jawline, all complimenting his skinny neck which presented his Adam's apple like a prised possession. Despite his frame and looks being perceived as weak, he has proven himself powerful many times in front of his enemies.
Armani Green is the First Officer of the ship. Bright, shy and obedient, he admires his Captain as a leader and a best friend as he follows in his shadow to learn how to 'be the best' in any scenario. He was brought up in Ipswich, England, and met the Captain when he was rather little, befriending him for many years, which caused him to be elected onto the ship through extensive trust and knowledge. Although he can seem like an easygoing person, due to his kind nature, he can express confidence and doubt in the right situation, especially when he disagrees with the Captain's mockery of his own well-being and life. In the beginning of the journey, he doesn't suffer with anything. However, he develops emotional damage in the future, caused by intense stress and injury.
Standing at six foot, and twenty eight years old, his body is displayed as skinny, slightly muscly yet strong, decorated with warm ivory skin, dark blonde hair cut in an 1980's feather-cut style and a friendly face. His fashion, like his Captain, is strictly suited most of the time, though he does dabble in leather too, but his clothes are always neatly presented. He always looks smart yet approachable, even with his sword hanging at his hip in a case. His face is decorated with round, bright green eyes, skinny eyebrows, a small nose with a pointed tip, barely carved in cheekbones, thin, pointed, pale pink lips and a sharp jawline that compliments his thick neck. He is the second strongest member of the crew, him being just a little weaker than Aodhan.
Simon Wright is the Sail Master of the ship and Protector of the Captain. Stern, cold, sorrowful yet somehow happy, he holds a lot of power within that can intimidate anyone and, almost, everyone. He was raised in Liverpool, England, and has a stereotypical rude and loud nature of a Scouse due to childhood abuse, but he means very well. To the crew, he is highly strong, confident and intelligent, but they lack any knowledge of his family-life. He suffers from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Depression, both having major impacts on his sailing journey as he's constantly worried for his friends and relatives.
