Basically I'm going to rewrite Satoshi's journey, since season 23 and onwards was so bad.
I'm considering cannon upto Season 22 where Ash leaves Alola, no movies are considered cannon, and Im going to add a few things to maintain logic and continuit...

It had been four months since she had almost confessed.
Lillie still carried a quiet anger toward Gladion for interrupting her and ruining that moment. She had spent the entire night before their departure from Alola preparing herself—rehearsing every word, every breath. But perhaps he had saved her from humiliating herself in front of her entire family, her friends, and most importantly... her crush.

That boy had not only helped her overcome her fear of Pokémon, but had also carved out a place in her heart. She wondered where he might be now—probably brimming with excitement over discovering a new Pokémon.
"Lillie?"
Gladion's voice pulled her out of her thoughts. She didn't respond, her distant expression making it obvious that her mind was elsewhere.
Gladion smirked. "Oh? So we're thinking about a certain someone, are we~?"
"Shut up, Gladion! Let's focus on finding Father."
"That's exactly what I've been trying to do for the last five minutes," he replied. "But you've been too busy thinking about him. Don't worry—he probably likes you back. And if we find Father, maybe you could even convince Mother to let you go on another journey afterward."
Lillie knew Gladion was aware of her crush, even though she herself hadn't fully realized it at the time. When Gladion had interrupted her confession and Satoshi had promised to battle him again someday, she had chosen instead to thank Satoshi for everything he had done for her.
