I checked my phone to check the time and it read 12:07am. The cool breeze hit me and then there was a change in the weather.

The rain poured heavily telling me it was time to go home but I decided to wait a little sitting on one of the benches in he park, God knows since when I've been seated here.

After some minutes I stood up and went to my car ready to go home. I entered with my wet clothes dripping but I would take care of that later.

The drive from the park to my  apartment was ten minutes. Immediately I got inside I locked the door then stripped to shower.

I turned up the heat of the water then waited for a while for it to be burning hot how I like it.

After showering I wore a big shirt and shorts, then headed to the bed to sleep but I knew that wasn't going to happen. It became part of me like an habit that I couldn't break out of maybe because of the things that haunted me if I were to. Over the years insomnia became the friend that never left or disowned me, it is more like my best friend.

I just stared at nothingness my mind drifting to nothing but void waiting for time to pass by and morning to come. The only sound that could be heard was the sound of the heavy rain.

Before I knew it 6:00 came faster than expected and I started my day like a normal person, house chores and other stuff done in the morning then I went to the bathroom to do my business.

I decided to wear baggy jeans and an oversized hoodie since the weather was cool today due to the rain that fell earlier.

I headed out of my apartment but not without a pocket knife tucked in the waistband of my trousers.

I drove to my favorite coffee shop but parked opposite it. I crossed the road and entered the warm cozy shop.

I made my way to Maria who was behind the counter and offered her a warm smile which she returned.

"The usual hmm?" She asked and I nodded. She gave my order to me and I said a small thank you before heading out but bumped into a hard thing which I realized was a person, a man to precise, no a Greek God. Not gonna lie handsome is an understatement. He looked dangerously handsome with a well sculpted body but my mind quickly pulled me to reality and I apologized but I couldn't help but notice the way those brown eyes stared at me but I brushed it off heading to my car.

I went to the grocery store after the coffee shop but was on my way back home when I saw a car following me.

"Don't tell me I have to deal with this today" I muttered to myself.

I increased my speed but a motorcycle came from behind catching up to me then hitting the side of my car hut I kept going until my car stopped then realized that he threw nails on the floor which punctured the tyre of my car.

I looked at my surroundings and luckily for me we were at a very empty area with no cameras and that made me smirk. I got down from the car then carried my gun from under the car seat.

I clicked the safety off ready to shoot these bastards. They messed with the wrong person today. But I stopped for a moment to decide whether to use my gun or my knife but decided to use the gun.

"I didn't know you were a fighter" the man that ride the motorcycle said and I smiled.

"Oh really and I didn't know I was going to kill today" I said

"What can you possibly do with that gun you're just a..." I didn't let him complete that sentence by shooting him in the middle of his eye and the other gut was about to shoot me but trust me I was very fast. I swatted the gun away from his hand an shot him in the leg.

"Who sent you" I asked but he chuckled and I ran out of patience so I shot him in the bullseye but I knew the person that sent them and their motive.

I went to my car to change the tyre with the spare in the trunk and drove off afternoon before hearing the sound of a vehicle coming buy I just drove fast. I can't risk being caught.
