I saw a pair of feet walking towards me. I looked up. His name was Matt and I hadn't seen him in years. He looked angry. I stood up and looked at him. I thought he was angry at me but he was staring directly at Tom. I went over to stand by him. He stepped nearer to Tom. They were nose to nose. Suddenly Matt spoke up. His voice was just the same as I remembered but it was shaking with anger.
"If you ever touch her again,I will make you very sorry"he whispered threateningly.
I stared at him.I grabbed him by the arm and tugged.
"Matt" I whispered. He didn't move. "Matt" I said louder. He turned slowly and walked down the driveway. I walked after him quickly. He grabbed my hand and we walked up to the top of the road. Valerie was standing there in her pyjamas. She'd seen everything aswell. I took her hand with my spare one. We walked through the town in silence.We passed by Notes to keep.That was the name of the bookshop.
