Extras Chapter: Uninvited Guest

Start from the beginning

"Рин... мы не на смертельный поединок. Это свадьба Узи." [Rin... we're not attending a death match. It's Uzi's wedding.] Doll reminded her, exasperated.

"Still. I prefer having the ability to move properly. Especially in emergency situations requiring mobility. That's what Sir A taught me," Rin replied matter-of-factly.

Doll rolled her optics. "Он также научил вас быть таким же параноиком, как и он сам." [He also taught you how to be as paranoid as he is.]

She stepped back, inspecting Rin from head to toe, while Rin stared back with her usual blank stare.

"Isn't the wedding in a few hours? Why did we have to prepare so early?" Rin asked, monotone and mildly suffering.

"Нам еще нужно привести в порядок твою прическу! Чтобы ты выглядела еще очаровательнее!" [We still need to fix your hair! So that you can look extra cute!] Doll announced enthusiastically.

"How come you let me do my own thing in Sir A's wedding...?" Rin questioned.

"Потому что ты всё ещё восстанавливалась после травм. Теперь, когда ты в порядке, я позабочусь о том, чтобы ты выглядела более чем презентабельно." [Because you were still recovering from your injuries. Now that you're okay, I'm making sure you look more than presentable.] Doll smiled brightly.

Rin sighed deeply. She was fully prepared to argue — until she saw her sister's expression. Doll looked genuinely excited, almost glowing with happiness at the idea of helping her. Rin paused. This was the happiest she'd seen Doll in a long time.

She swallowed her complaint.

"Very well," she surrendered quietly.

"Не волнуйся, Рин. Я позвонила одной из своих хороших подруг, чтобы она помогла тебе с прической!" [Don't worry, Rin. I called one of my good friends to help with your hair!]

Right on cue, the door slid open and Lizzy strolled in with the confidence of someone who owned the place.

"Sup freak. Prepare to look presentable," Lizzy declared, hands on her hips.

Rin stared blankly, offering no reaction or resistance as Lizzy marched right up to her and immediately started messing with her hair, much to Rin's internal displeasure.

After hours of Lizzy trying every hairstyle known to drone-kind — some so elaborate they practically rewrote Rin's entire physical silhouette — she finally settled on a simple but elegant style: a half-up braided crown, the rest of Rin's shoulder-length hair falling neatly with a slight curl at the tips.

"О, Рин! Ты такая милая!" [Oh Rin! You look so cute!] Doll squealed, clapping her hands together.

"Your hair is a nightmare to brush and style. Three of my brushes snapped. Three." Lizzy complained dramatically. "Do you even brush your hair properly? Or like — at all?"

"When I feel it's appropriate, I do." Rin answered plainly.

"And when is that?" Lizzy pressed.

Rin simply shrugged.

Lizzy stared at her, offended on a spiritual level.

"В любом случае, ты отлично выглядишь, Рин!" [Well, in any case, you look great, Rin!] Doll said, already snapping pictures of her little sister from multiple angles.
