"I'm not..." Yan exhaled, "But-."

Jerry's hand slid to his cheek, gentle, but the look in his eyes was anything but hesitant.

"Good. You won't have time for that."

The words hit Yan harder than the kiss.

Jerry guided him backwards, their steps small, quiet, intimate, until the back of Yan's legs touched the bed. Yan sank down, breath shaky, looking up at Jerry like he wasn't sure if he should pull him close or run.

Jerry didn't give him time to choose.

He stepped between Yan's knees, cupping his face with both hands. Yan leaned into the touch instinctively-catlike, soft, betraying the way his guard dissolved under warmth.

Jerry's lips brushed the corner of Yan's mouth, then the other side, slow strokes that made Yan's breath stutter. When Jerry finally kissed him fully, Yan responded without restraint-hands clutching Jerry's waist, drawing him closer, helpless under the pull.

The bed dipped beneath their combined weight.

Yan lay against the sheets, Jerry half over him, half kneeling, both of them breathing fast. Jerry's fingers slid across Yan's collar, brushing the loose folds of his robe, feeling the heat of his skin beneath.

Yan's hand caught his wrist-not to push away, but to steady himself. His voice came soft, low, almost unsteady.
"Yichen... are you sure?"

Jerry lifted his gaze.

He cupped Yan's jaw, thumb tracing lightly over his cheek.
"I've never been clearer."

Something in Yan gave way entirely.

His fingers loosened around Jerry's wrists.

Somewhere in the back of Jerry's mind, the system whispered,
I'm... going to mute myself,
and vanished like a flustered ghost.

Jerry leaned in, brushing his lips against the corner of Yan's mouth before catching his lower lip gently between his teeth. The soft bite made Yan's eyes fly open-surprised, flustered, glowing faintly in the dim light.

"Yi-Yichen..." he whispered, voice trembling.

Jerry placed a hand lightly over his lips.
"Shh."

Yan blinked, startled by the sudden seriousness in Jerry's gaze.

"Did you hear that?" Jerry murmured.

Instantly, Yan tensed-instincts snapping awake. His invisible ears perked, alert. He listened.

A second passed.
Another.

"...I don't hear anything," he whispered.

Jerry leaned down until their cheeks brushed, lips ghosting against Yan's ear.

"Listen closer."

Yan turned his head, focusing-exactly like a cat sensing danger.

Which was when Jerry dipped suddenly and bit the side of his neck-sharper, deliberate.

Yan gasped, a startled "Ah-!" breaking from him.

Jerry looked up, triumphant, his voice a low tease against Yan's throat.

"That. My kitty whining."

Yan flushed all the way to his ears, eyes squeezing shut in embarrassment as his breath stuttered.

"Yichen..."

Jerry brushed the hair from his face, hovering over him.

"I think I like you," he whispered.
