‼️A/N - This is a joint fanfic that me (author) and two of my friends (they supply me with the ideas lol) will be creating together.

We will try to write as often as we can but with exams coming up, uploads may be delayed by a few days or weeks.

We will add trigger warnings HERE only because we want the readers to not guess the plot so easily if you get what I mean 😭.

If it isn't clear, this is a Eren x fem oc/reader featuring university life in Trost, Paradis.

THIS IS A SLOWWWW BURN, OKAY? I refuse to make them kiss or whatever by the tenth chapter. At this point, they are barely friends by the tenth chapter. I'm making this naturally, and painfully slow!🥹

Since I know that some people do not enjoy reading about an OC because you get jealous of them or something (don't worry me too) then just imagine her as yourself! It's just easier as an author to work off a character that has a name (because I refuse to type Y/N out every time they say her name)!

But if you wish, feel free to ignore her name and replace it with whatever you want.

The reader/OC does have a backstory, so if you do not like fanfics full of angsty characters & backstories you may leave! I am trying to please everyone here, I know a lot of people like the backstories and I know people who don't. So this is me warning you if you don't like it!! 🙏🙏

I have seen from Tiktok that aot fanfic readers can be quite picky with how stories go—so baring in mind, I've taken inspo from all the fanfics I've read and I am purely writing this to advance my skills for English (it's lowkey working) and for die hard Eren fans to read.

If you do not like the story line, please do not hate—unless it is something I can work on. Other people may like it, so don't ruin it for them. Respectfully close the book down and move on!! I don't want any negative vibes since I've put my heart and soul into this❤️‍🩹

I've also seen many people comment on other fanfics how they are uncomfortable with reading Y/N stories that have trauma in the backstory or happening throughout the book—this is one of the reasons why I made the main character (or you, if you desire) have a name so people wouldn't feel that way. If you are not bothered, still feel free to think of Arabella as yourself.
Writing a story with all these deep narratives and topics helps me understand them better, and also helps others feel seen.

Also, the only descriptions is that she has piercings just so she fits into the story 🙂🙂 if there are any subtle descriptions in the first few chapters, that was when I did actually have a reference for Arabella, although I changed it so it would be inclusive to all. I have obviously forgotten to switch them out (just ignore it plsss)

This story includes canon and non-canon characters and some events may be solely fictional but we will try to keep this as realistic as possible. Keep in mind we are beginner authors and not everything will be perfect but we will improve with time. Some characters may be totally mischaracterised, but this is so they fit the plot!!

Throughout the story it includes traumatic experiences such as abuse, substance abuse, SA, inappropriate language, smut and violence. If we add anymore other than these ones, we will add them here. I'll add a warning on top of each chapter, reminding you to revisit these trigger warnings as I'm not specifying exactly which ones! (To keep you guys on edge..)

We have got a clear idea what we want to do with this fanfic (the start and finish) so we hope you guys enjoy it!!

(Also this was supposed to be published on my other account, but for safety reasons I have moved it to this account, which has for some reason taken away any italics or bold texts—so apologies if it looks a bit messy, it's only for the first 8 chapters anyways so bare w me😭)

This fanfic is completely different to the anime despite some features. We've aged some characters up and down, most of them really, for the effect of the story.

If you forget the pure lore then it works.

Also, please bare in mind I am NOT American. I am from the UK (🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿) so I am trying my best to use American slang and terminology since it varies between our countries. I am also NOT in University, so again, I've done as much research as I can do to figure out how US universities work and I apologise if anything is incorrect!!

We started writing this fanfic early May 2025, only publishing it now since we've written enough chapters to give us a head start.
