Namjoon stared at Fourth — fear and heartbreak twisting inside him.

Namjoon:

Fourth’s voice trembled violently.

He tried to stand—
but his legs gave up and he collapsed again.

Tae rushed to him, trying to hold him up.

Tae:

Fourth shoved him away violently.

Fourth (screaming):
DON’T TOUCH ME!! YOU ALL LEFT HIM!! YOU ALL RAN AWAY AND LEFT HIM THERE TO DIE!!

Jin froze.

Jungkook’s eyes filled instantly with fresh tears.

Jungkook (shaking his head):
Fourth… baby listen… I checked him… I checked his pulse… he wasn’t breathing… he was gone my brother was gone

Fourth stopped.

His breathing hitched — a sharp, terrifying sound.

And his voice was hollow.

Fourth (dead whisper):

Jungkook stepped closer.

Jungkook (broken):
I’m not… Fourth… I swear on my life… there was no pulse why would I lie about my brother

Fourth’s lips trembled.

His hands came up to his ears.

Fourth:

He suddenly screamed and hit the floor with his fists.

Fourth (sobbing uncontrollably):
GEMINI IS ALIVE! HE IS ALIVE! HE CAN’T LEAVE ME!! HE SAID HE WON’T!! HE SAID HE WILL COME BACK!!

Jimin started crying.

Suga looked away, wiping his tears with shaking hands.

Phuwin hugged Dunk tightly.

Joong stood stiff, jaw locked, tears falling silently.

Pond sank to the floor, head in his knees.

Taehyung stepped forward, voice cracking:

Fourth screamed back:

NO! ALL OF YOU LEFT HIM! YOU ALL RAN! Y-YOU LEFT HIM WITH THEM! YOU LET THEM KILL HIM!! I HATE YOU!! I HATE ALL OF YOU!!

Jin gasped.

Jimin broke.

Namjoon closed his eyes in pain.

Suga turned away to hide his tears.

Fourth kept shaking, pulling his own hair, fighting the air, fighting the truth.

Pond moved toward him gently.

Pond (soft whisper):

Fourth went completely still.

Completely silent.

Like someone unplugged his soul.

He stared blankly at the floor.

Fourth (tiny whisper, emotionless):
I saw him there… he was warm… he looked at me… he… he can’t be gone… I don’t believe you… I don’t believe anyone

Jungkook fell to his knees in front of him.

Jungkook (crying hard):
I’m so sorry Fourth I’m so sorry I tried  I swear If I didn't left him there alone maybe then he was alive

Fourth didn’t even blink.

Didn’t react.

Didn’t move.

Just stared into empty space.

Jungkook: because of me my brother is not with us anymore because of me

Fourth squeezed his eyes shut and covered his ears.

Fourth (whispering like a child):
Stop… please… stop… I can’t hear this… I can’t… Gem is alive… Gem is alive… Gem is alive…

He rocked back and forth.

Completely broken.

Completely gone.

Taehyung hugged him from behind.

Taehyung (crying into his shoulder):

Fourth didn’t hug back.

Didn’t speak.
