Ep.1- Two Faces, One Obsession
Lila Monroe – 22, smart, independent, curious, slightly naive to the danger surrounding her.
Ethan Cross – 24, twin #1, charming, polite, obsessive, maintains the public façade.
Aiden Cross – 24, twin #2, obsessive, dangerous, keeps up the illusion of being one person with Ethan.
Lila adjusted the strap of her bag, the late evening air crisp against her skin. Her shift at the local bookstore had ended, and she was looking forward to a quiet night. But the streets felt off—empty, too silent, like the city itself was holding its breath.
Then she saw him.
A man leaning against the lamppost outside, tall, sharp features, eyes dark and unreadable. A charming smile played on his lips, and the way he tilted his head made her stomach flip.
"Lost?" he asked smoothly. His voice was velvety, calm, almost too perfect.
Lila blinked. "Uh... no. Just heading home."
He straightened, stepping closer, and something about his presence was magnetic, unnerving. "You walk like you're carrying the world," he said, eyes scanning her face. "Don't worry. I can help you with that."
Help me? Lila thought, wary but intrigued. She nodded slowly, unsure why she felt drawn to him.
"Name's Ethan," he said, extending a hand. She hesitated before shaking it. His grip was firm, confident—like he owned the night.
"I'm Lila," she replied, keeping her voice steady.
For a few moments, they just stood there, the city noises distant. Then Ethan's expression softened, almost imperceptibly, as if he was seeing something he shouldn't.
"Strange thing about me," he said quietly. "Sometimes... I'm not who I seem."
Lila frowned, a chill running down her spine. "What do you mean?"
Before he could answer, a shadow moved beside him, almost unnoticed. Lila blinked, but when she looked again, it was gone. Only Ethan remained.
"Are you sure you're safe walking alone?" he asked, his smile returning. But this time, there was something darker behind it, a hint of something watching, waiting.
Lila laughed nervously, shaking off the unease. "I can take care of myself."
Ethan's gaze lingered, intense and calculating. "I hope so... for your sake."
As she walked away, she couldn't shake the feeling that she was being watched, and that the charming stranger wasn't just one person. Something about him—them—was off, and yet terrifyingly compelling.
That night, in the quiet of her apartment, she couldn't stop thinking about the man with the unsettling smile. And somewhere in the shadows, a second pair of eyes followed her, unseen but very much present.
She thought she met one stranger... but it was already too late.
