"Pups, remember your training.. and for the love of the Goddess, trust your wolves." the worried gaze their father held over them did nothing to help settle the nerves that fluttered in the pits of their stomachs as they stood hand in hand in an attempt to comfort one another.

"Run as far as you can, steer clear of obvious hiding places.. caves, rotted out trees.. those will be the first places the males will look for females trying to hide from them." their paternal figure rambled on in an attempt to skim over the information that had been given over the past few months during the twin's special training.

Alexandria's wolf chose this precise moment to stir just below her skin's surface; the warmth that blossomed through her veins made her feel confident and powerful, something that instantly brought comfort to her frazzled mind.

"Dad, we're Alpha Brats, remember? I have made it my own personal goal to get us both out alive and well, even if it means I have to pluck a few tails to do so." she could feel the grip her sister had on her hand relax as she spoke, her twin taking comfort in the confidence she oozed; thank you wolf for the power boost!

Danielle had always been the soft-spoken one of the two, and would always follow her sister's lead like a shadow, whereas Alexandria had always been the hardheaded little spitfire that would fight to take control of any given situation in order for she and her sister to come out top dog.

Two sides of the same coin; that was one way to describe the twins.

Their father seemed to relax a bit at her confidence boost. "Alexandria, the Alpha blood is strong in you, and there is no doubt in my mind that you would have taken over the pack had you been born male.. but please remember not to overdo it. You are capable of taking on wolves of lesser ranking, but be wise should you find yourself faced with a male in the higher ranks." his hand moved to firmly grip her shoulder, and with a squeeze of reassurance he would turn to his other daughter.

"Danielle, your senses are as sharp as a silver blade, and you are level headed in dire situations. You have the makings of a strong Luna and will need to lend your strength to your sister when it is needed." his free hand would mimic the grip he had on Alexandria's shoulder onto Danielle's.

"Both of you need to remember that in the Arena, you two will be the only pack you have. It will be your 'Wonder Twin' powers that get you out of this alive and back home to your mother and I." a solemn grin tugged at his lips as he pulled his daughters to him for a group hug.

ATTENTION! ALL PARTICIPATING SHE-WOLVES PLEASE MAKE YOUR WAY TO THE GATES!

The dreaded announcement.

Their father squeezed them tighter to him as he eyed a Game Official making his way over to them, a growl threatening to bubble from his throat. It was first instinct to protect his pups.

"My apologies, Alpha Cruise.. but your daughters will need to make their way to the starting gates now." the official gestured towards the large, metal clad entrance that stood tall at the other side of the small gathering field with the bow of his head, a sign of submission to the obviously ruffled Alpha male.

"Very well, they will be there shortly." Alpha Cruise snapped at the official with a growl, the grip he had on his daughters tightening. "Remember, my pups.. you are the children of Alpha and Luna Cruise. You are of the feared Shadow Walkers. Go give them Hell, girls."

The twins grinned.

Give Hell they shall.
