"Show me that you can change." She said.

"Wait what?" I asked.

"Look no offense or anything, but your image is a womanizer or man whore. And that's how you were before you left. I want the Harry who cares about me. Like I said before, I loved that Harry."

I slammed my face in to the palms of my hands.

"I do care about you."

That's all I managed to say without wanting to cry. I'm not weak, I really care about her though. I hurt her.

"Prove it."

"How? It's not that easy when you made a mistake like mine."

She laughed, "it doesn't have to be right now Haz."

"I won't be able to sleep if you're mad at me."

I grabbed the nearly clear plates from the table and placed them in the sink.

"Do you want to go somewhere?" I asked.

Her head perked up as if she was waiting for me to ask that.

"Where?"

"Erm..anywhere."

I looked outside,It was a reasonably nice day in Cheshire.

"We just have to be back earlyish because I have to be up for an interview at like ten."

"Well I don't really care where." She said.

I had an idea of where we could go.

"Get a jacket."

"Why?" She asked.

"We're going somewhere."

"Eh, I'll be fine."

"Alright then, follow me." I said.

I held out my hand for her to take.

"I have to hold your hand?" She giggled.

"I need to prove that I care."

She intertwined her fingers with mine. It felt good to have a hand there beside my own. I could feel the tips of her fingers touch my knuckles. I grabbed my key to the bus and shut the door behind us.

"Where are we going?"

I let out a small laugh,"it's a surprise."

She groaned. She hates surprises, but I think she will like this one.

We walked along the sidewalk in Cheshire. It was beautiful here in the spring. A little nippy, but beautiful. We walked past the bakery I used to work at. I looked at Finnley who was smiling.

"Why are you smiling?" I asked.

"The bakery."

"What about it."

"That's the old Harry." She admitted.

She was right. That's the Harry she wanted back. The Harry that I was going to be for her.

The aroma of the breads from the bakery lingered for a few blocks. As we walked down town, all of the memories flooded back to my mind. The ones where Finnley and I would sit outside the bakery after my shift, or where she would come watch White Eskimo play at the local coffee shop. We kept walking until we got to the park across the street from our old neighborhood. I could see our houses from the sidewalk.

"Harry what are we doing?" She asked again.

"Would you just be patient?" I replied jokingly.

She sighed. Her fingers were still laced in between mine. I loved this feeling. I loved her.

I felt the soft grass beneath my shoes as we walked down the hill. There were kids everywhere. Not as romantic as I hoped, but it will do. We continued to walk until we got to the patch of trees that lined the sidewalk.

I found the fifth tree and walked over to it. She followed close behind still keeping a grasp of my hand.

"Wait.. Harry" she said

"Just be patient for like 3 more seconds."

I sat down and she did the same.

"Is it coming back to you now?"

She looked around trying to figure it out. She smiled and made eye contact with me. I gently placed my lips on hers.

The old kiss-under-the-apple-tree Harry.
