**Safeer's POV**

It happened during basketball practice—a harsh tumble, an awkward twist, and a sharp pain shot through my ankle.

I stumbled, nearly falling, and Zania was there before I hit the floor."Safeer! Are you okay?" she exclaimed, her voice tight with worry.

"I'm fine," I said, gritting my teeth. But the pain was real, radiating up my leg."Don't lie to me," she snapped softly, eyes blazing. "Sit down."

I obeyed, and she knelt beside me, examining my ankle. Her hands were careful but steady, brushing hair from her face as she concentrated.

"Wow... you really hurt yourself," she muttered. "You should've told someone.""I didn't want to worry you," I admitted quietly. Her eyes softened. "Safeer... I can't not worry about you."

That sentence, so simple, yet so full of meaning, hit me harder than anything else. She still cared. She still loved me.

**Zania's POV**

Seeing him hurt... seeing him vulnerable... it changed something inside me.I couldn't stop my hands from checking his ankle, carefully supporting him, making sure he didn't move the wrong way.

"Safeer," I said softly, "you scared me. You really did.""I'm sorry," he whispered. "For... everything."

I met his eyes, and for the first time in a long time, the anger softened. It didn't vanish, but it was manageable. The part of me that still loved him—the part that had never stopped—was creeping back to the surface.

"I... I don't know if I can trust you fully yet," I admitted. "But... seeing you here, needing me... it reminds me why I love you."

He smiled weakly. "And I'll do everything to earn it back. Every day."And just like that, leaning on each other through a moment of pain, something fragile but real began to grow again.
