After being alone for a few hours, and thinking of the best possible solution, he was back on his voyage but this time enroute to home. Entering the place, he saw Lee Know sitting in the living room watching TV. When he heard footsteps, he muted it to see Han walking in. "Hey, are you okay? Channie and Changbin-ah were worried about you," He stood up, ready to hug him.
"Yeah," he said in a monotone voice, not turning in Lee Know's direction, keeping his vision low as he made his way to his room where he kept the lights off, throwing his body onto the bed. 'What do I do??'
You, on the other hand, had clearly no idea the dilemma Han was going through, you couldn't wait to come home and talk to him, couldn't wait to tell him about your day. You were going to tell him how your boss loved your work on the project and was going to assign you to another, bigger one this time. In your head, you could hear Peter's excitement, making you giggle with happiness.
You logged on to your laptop after dinner, at the regular time you and him would voice call, seeing he never responded to your last message. 'That's strange...maybe he got busy?...' but shook it off as you sent him another message to ask if he was on.
As you waited for his response, you went over to the bathroom and got ready for bed; taking off your makeup, did you face care routine and brushed your teeth. But as you were flossing, you realized you haven't heard a notification come from the living room. 'Odd...'
Leaving the bathroom, you walked over to the laptop on your coffee table to see nothing for you, just the last two messages you sent. 'Hmm...he's probably super busy..'
You deiced to give him some time, turning the tv on, being able to watch a episode of your favorite K-drama without a message coming came through.
You didn't want to send another message, he would usually tell you if it was a busy day for him or not but never sending anything was making you worried. 'And it's close to midnight...'
Once midnight hit, you waited an extra five minutes but your eyes were becoming heavy, making it difficult to keep them open; eventually falling asleep on the asleep at the couch.
But your sleep only lasted a few minutes before you realized you were waiting for Han. 'Maybe I should go to bed.' You decided to give up for the night, making you think he will message you in the morning. "Hey, hope everything is okay," you messaged like a clinging girlfriend, making an ugly noise come out of your mouth for hating how you sent him another message.
You were hoping he would say he forgot, how it was a busy day but nothing came through once again. You decided to give it another 15 minutes but when the time finally came, he never messaged back. 'I truly hope he's okay and nothing bad happened to him...' You stared at your screen, thinking of typing on your laptop again but stopped yourself until you gave into the temptation.
You: Hey, I hope you're okay, I know you're probably busy since you said you had a lot on your mind about your job. I'm heading to bed, goodnight and talk to you tomorrow.
Your heart sank to your stomach, feeling uneasy as you tried to sleep but were afraid why he never messaged thinking they didn't go through.
But they did, Han was sitting in the recording studio with Jeongin singing while his heart cried while staring down at his phone. He wanted to type back his heart was keeping him from doing so. He muted the emails coming from the website, feeling needles poking his heart as he was doing it.
"Your turn Jisung," he heard Chan say, who had a smile on his face, but quickly disappeared when Han turned his head towards him, seeing the pain in his eyes. He sluggishly made his way into the room, pulling his hoodie up more before singing into the mic, trying to do his job.
Chan and Changbin could hear how Han's heart wasn't in it, asking him to do it a couple more times until Chan stopped the music and turned to Changbin. They both shared worried expressions, making Chan wonder if it has to do with the conversation from the night before.
He got up and walked inside the recording room with Han. "Are you okay?" He quickly questioned, not beating around the bush.
He lowered his head, shaking it no, making Chan bring him into his arms, hugging him tightly. "Is it about Y/n?" he whispered, feeling Han shake his head yes against his shoulder.
"Let's go for a walk, calm on," He pulled away, seeing Han keeping his head low.
"No, let's do the song. I can do it," Han didn't want to procrastinate, knowing the song has to be done soon. He pulled his head up and gave Chan a small smile, who didn't believe him for one second but he didn't want to press as he skeptically looked at him before nodding his head while saying okay, disappearing back to the other room.
"Okay Hannie, you got this," Changbin pressed a button and the music started again, this time giving everything he could.
After Han finally gave them a good part, Lee Know was next in line, who gave him a small hug as he entered and he exited the room. "Hey guys, I'm going to the bathroom, I'll be right back." He let them know but it was a small lie as he walked down the hallway towards an empty conference room where the lights turned on as soon as he stepped foot through the doorway.
He rolled a seat towards the window, looking out as he tried to find his thoughts. He didn't want to ignore you but knew deep down he was making the right decision. 'I'm sorry Y/n...I'm doing this to protect you...' he stared out the window thinking about you.
