It didn't take Chan long to find out about Han messaging you, Han actually cracked when Chan caught him smiling at his phone.
"Who are you texting?" Chan wondered when staring at his friend with a confused expression.
"No one..." He tried to say casually but it came out more guilty than anything.
But there's this gaze Chan gave Han where he tilts his head up a bit while looking down at Han. He could feel Chan's eyes burning a hole into Han's soul, making him quickly confess. "I'm sorry!" He blurted out like he got caught, confusing Chan even more, wondering why he was apologizing. "I started talking to this girl and she's really amazing. She makes me laugh but it's nothing serious, she's just learning Korean. I swear!" His words came out so fast it almost sounded as if he was rapping.
'What does he mean? Is this part of the practicing the English thing he was telling me about that one day?' He didn't know what to say, kind of started at Han, who was making him nervous, wondering what his eldest friend was thinking. "Well...does she know about us??"
'Shit....' Han thought to himself while he turned his head in guilt, not wanting to see the reaction from Chan.
"She does...doesn't she...?" Chan let out a deep sigh, sitting up in his seat. "Jisung, you know we can't be doing things like this."
'But I've been doing it forever,' but he let that part out. He felt like a child getting scolded by a parent, waiting for Chan to ground him and take his phone away.
"You know you can't talk to her..."
"I know but..."
"Jisung, promise me?"
Han could hear how serious Chan was and also saw it in his face. He really wanted to rebutal but knew he wasn't going to win. "Promise..." but as he barley could share a glance with him, he knew he was going to lie once again to Chan. He knew he shouldn't because he was going to get caught again...and this time Changbin was with them in Chan's office....
Han yawned as the time ticked away without him, Chan and Changbin noticing. It was getting late at night as they sat going over the songs while Han messaged you, smiling from time to time.
Chan couldn't help but look over, seeing Han typing away on his phone, not truly paying any attention. He gave Changbin a confused look before Han titled his head up to see all eyes on him.
"What?" He asked in a deep, raspy voice.
"Are you still texting her?" Chan questioned, looking down at Han's phone before titling his eyes back up to him. "After you promised me??"
"Um...no..." 'Fuck, could I sound any more obvious??'
"Really?" Chan sat back in his seat, tightly crossing his arms in front of his chest while he tightened his jaw.
Han couldn't help but swallow down saliva, nervously feeling guilty, knowing he can't lie, especially to Chan. "Okay yes...but..."
"I thought you were going to stop?" Chan quickly interrupted, feeling hurt Han lied to him.
"I tried to but I really enjoyed talking to her...."
"Do you like her or something?" This time Changbin chimed in before Chan could ask.
It's the same question Lee Know wondered but Han still didn't having a direct answer; not without him saying the truth out loud.
"Let's play the what if game..." Chan shifted in his seat towards Han; Changbin sitting back in his chair, waiting to see how and where this goes.
