[The episode starts with the camera panning down to Purple's castle. Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, and Orange (in that order) rush toward the castle bridge and wait for Purple who just left the castle.]
: Ahem... Welcome Colourblocks! I imagine you're wondering why you're here.
Purple: I, Purple have had an amazing idea! You can all help me decorate my castle gardens in a style fitting for royalty.
[Everyone quickly cheers.]
Purple: I've made a little practice space for each of you to invent a wonderful new pattern! Whichever one I like the most: I shall use to decorate my gardens!
: It's a competition!
: Cool.
Purple: Let the pattern competition... Begin!
[Purple starts the pattern competition via party blower.]
Colourblocks: [cheering]
[Everyone runs to their lane.]
: Time to make an awesome pattern! Exciting!
Red: Wait... what is a pattern? Uhm...
Blue: Check this out Red! Blue...stripes! Stripes! Stripes!
: I've got an idea for a pattern... Green! I can make a pattern. Zig Zag! Zig Zag! Zig Zag! Zi...
: [giggles] Yellow! Wave... Wave! Wave... This makes me happy! Wave... Wave!
Orange: Hup, hup, hup... I'm making a high energy spotty pattern! Spot, gap! Spot, gap! Spot! Again and again! Spot, gap! Spot g...
Red: Oh, I get it! A pattern is the same thing again and again! Making something that looks nice!
Red: In a spotty pattern, you repeat the spots! And in a wavy pattern, You repeat the wave! [giggles] The line zigs and zags! And so does the next line and the next! They repeat! Stripes! Again and again! The stripes repeat!
[Red runs back to her lane.]
Red: Hmm... Everyone has got such exciting patterns. What type of pattern should I make? Think Red... Think!
[She runs offscreen to get some boots and then runs back onscreen.]
Red: [gasp] I know! I'll make a splat pattern! Red! Big splat! Two splats! Big splat! Two splats! Big splat! [giggles] Repeat! Two splats... Ha!
[The time is up. Purple blows the party blower again.]
Purple: Time to judge your patterns!
[He inspects each Colourblock's lane carefully.]
Purple: Hmm... Yes! Oh... Yes! Oh I like that one... Oh you followed the brief well. Hmm... Nice!
Purple: I have finally decided which pattern I like best... My favourite pattern is... all of them!
Colourblocks: All of them?
[They run to Purple.]
Purple: That's right! They're all wonderful! So why don't put them all together?
Yellow: What? Make one big... super... duper... mega pattern?
Green: Wow! I think that's a great idea!
Red: Let's make patterns! Woohoo!
[Everyone but Purple bounces to another space. This time, it was one big square. Purple, at the balcony, blows the party blower again.]
Colourblocks: Stripes! Zig Zag! Wave! Big Splat! Two Splats! Spot Gap!
[The camera cuts away to the Colourblocks viewing their mega pattern.]
Yellow: You were right Purple... This really is the best pattern ever!
Red: And, there are lots more we can invent! Let's get patterning!
[Everyone cheers.]
[The camera pans down to the pattern mash-up and the episode ends.]
