PRESENT DAY
It was Friday morning. Hibba woke up by 10:00am. Scrolled through her phone for a while, replied to a few messages then hopped on Instagram.
She got up to take her bath but paused. Seeing the mess around. It'd been nearly a week since she cleaned her apartment. Feeling fresh, light and calm so she decided to tidy up first.
She sorted the clothes on her ottoman. Folded the clean ones, tossed the dirty ones in the laundry basket. Swapped her bedsheet, wiped and arranged her dressing mirror. Then a quick round of dusting in her living room and kitchen. She vacuumed, mopped and burned turaren wuta which made the whole apartment smell heavenly. Just like a typical northern house.
Hibba's apartment wasn't large . It's just 2 bedrooms each with a toilet inside, one sitting room and one kitche. Just enough for her.
At 12:30 She made herself a simple breakfast:fries, sausage, and an omelet. After eating, She quickly ran off to her room to bathe since it was her first day of MLS.
She did a little skin care, rubbed khumra on her neck, leg and arms. Got dressed in a lilac embroidered Atampha. A half half gown over a straight skirt. The half gown passed her knees which added elegance to the dress. It sat perfectly on her body as if it was sewn on her body. The fabric, a blend of Lilac, turquoise, and navy blue, embroidered with gold thread.
She paired it with golden jewelry, a turquoise veil, channel shoe and black Louis Vuitton bag. A light spray of baccarat rouge perfume. She grabbed her car key and drove out.
Her appointment was at 03:00. It was 01:30 am so she stopped at her shop to check on everything before heading to Wellness Studio (the therapy center).

Hibba parked her car at the Clinic parking lot. She noticed there are lot of trees. It's serene and it smells refreshing. She walked calmly toward the entrance inhaling refreshing air. She went straight to the front desk and to confirm her appointment. The receptionist told her to wait on the chairs t placed opposite the office.
It was at that time that she felt scared. She started to feel anxious. She doesn't know what exactly she's stepping into. What memory she's going to see or what exactly she'll feel after the session. Her heart started pounding so she kept doing istighfar to stay calm.
A woman in her late 20’s came and told hibba to come in.
Hibba enters. Like last time the office smells like oud. She sat on the chair with her hand folded.
Dr. Habib smiled at her and said Hi Hibba.
She smiled back and replied Hi doctor.
He started well as I've told you it's a newer form of therapeutic stimulation for people who experienced powerful traumatic emotional event. Those memories are extracted through neural isolation then under specific circumstances it's matched with another patient who is emotionally compatible to make the emotions balanced and trigger healing. Are you still interested?
Hibba took seconds before she nodded.
Dr. Hibba said good. Remember you can also choose to do away with the memories instead of balancing it.
She smiled and said. No they're part of me, they made me who i am and i don't chose to forget who I am. I want to survive with them. I want surpass them. So we can proceed.
Habib smiled widely and said good. Now follow me.

Hibba was led to a room. The room was dim and quiet it has a medical setup. Lit by soft amber lights tucked into corners. It looked more like a luxury spa than a clinic room.
