The sun hadn’t even risen fully when Katseye exploded across every social feed.

#KatseyeFallout. #SophiaVsManon. #LaraDeservesBetter.
Rumors twisted themselves into truth, and truth twisted itself into something even uglier.

Manon sat curled up on her hotel couch, scrolling until every headline felt like a bruise. One read:

> “Is Katseye Over?”

She didn’t tap it. She didn’t have to. She already knew what it would say.

A sharp knock rattled her door.
“Meeting. Studio 3. Now.”
One of the assistants. Efficient. Emotionless.

---

Studio 3 felt colder than usual — like the air had decided to pick a side.
Elena, their manager, stood at the head of the room with a posture that said no arguing today.

“Phones off,” she ordered.
Six devices slid across the table — Sophia, Manon, Lara, Megan, Daniela, and Yoonchae.

Elena clicked a remote, lighting up the wall screen with a chaotic collage:
Shaky fan edits.
Frozen frames.
Tabloid headlines.

> “Leader Snaps at Member?”
“Rising Tension Between Sophia and Manon.”
“Lara Caught in the Middle of Katseye Feud.”

Manon felt each headline like a punch to the ribs.

Elena’s tone was clipped. “Tomorrow night, you’re going on a live interview. No delays. No excuses.”

Sophia exhaled sharply. “Live? Elena—”

“It’s your best option,” Elena cut in. “You sit together. You smile. You deny every rumor. You tell the world Katseye is solid.”

Megan scoffed. “So we lie.”

Elena’s eyes sharpened. “So you survive.”

A heavy silence smothered the room.

Yoonchae raised a timid hand. “What if they bring up… the clip?”

Elena softened only slightly. “Then you laugh it off. You say it was edited. You say you’re closer than ever. That’s the narrative we’re running with.”

Daniela crossed her arms. “And if one of us messes up?”

Elena didn’t blink. “Then all of you fall apart.”

---

When the meeting ended, the group scattered.
Sophia stayed still for a moment, staring at the dim screen like it was a warning sign.
Megan marched out muttering fiery complaints.
Daniela followed quietly.
Yoonchae left with her head down, clearly overwhelmed.

Lara hesitated. She glanced back at Manon, who hadn’t moved from her seat since the meeting started.

“You okay?” Lara asked. Her voice was soft, almost careful.

Manon forced a smile. “Just tired.”

Lara stepped closer. “Manon… you don’t have to pretend with me.”

That hit harder than any headline.
Manon looked at her — really looked at her — and whispered, “Then who am I pretending for?”

Lara’s eyes softened with something gentle, almost protective.
“Maybe for the people who still want to believe we’re perfect.”

Manon swallowed thickly.
For the first time today, the tightness in her chest loosened just a little.

---

That night, lying alone in the dark, Manon replayed Elena’s words on an endless loop:

> “You’ll smile.
You’ll say you’re closer than ever.”

She turned onto her side, whispering into the quiet:

“Maybe the truth is finally getting too loud to hide.”
