"What did I say about confidence, hm?" Chan reminded him, reaching up to let his free hand wander through Jeongin's hair for a moment.

It made Jeongin's heart skip a beat and he could barely think. "I know. But I don't think I'll be able to beat you." He was smiling, despite the realization that there was no way he'd win the second competition.

"And you're not sad about that?" Chan wondered, when he saw Jeongin's smile.

He sighed. "I am, but there's nothing I can do. I don't want this competition to come between us." He said the last part shyly, his voice a bit more quiet.

Chan nodded, understanding what Jeongin meant. "You're more important than the competition."

"But you said winning is really important to you." Jeongin frowned, looking over to Chan, who only smiled at him. So he was that important to him? Was that what Chan was trying to say? That he was so important that he meant more to him than winning? Jeongin had to divert his gaze or his heart would explode.

He held Chan's hand a bit tighter, showing him he understood what he was trying to say.

"I also think you're more important than winning." Jeongin admitted shyly. "I'd love to see you win."

Then his smile dropped, when he remembered the only problem. His parents. They wouldn't be as happy, when someone else won.

Chan noticed the sudden change of Jeongin's emotions. "But?" He wished there wasn't a but. "Your parents wouldn't be happy about that?" Chan asked calmly.

How was he already able to read Jeongin so perfectly? How did he already know so much about him?

Unfortunately Jeongin had to nod. "They really expect me to win."

"And I told you you have a chance. If you really want to win, you can." Chan let his thumb wander over the back of Jeongin's hand softly.

Chan's words made Jeongin think. How Chan had stressed that he could win if he wanted to win, not if his parents wanted that.

But then he decided that he didn't want to continue talking about this, while he was with Chan and holding his hand. So he changed the topic and instead thought about how he couldn't believe how lucky he was, when Chan didn't let go of his hand.

Right after he had come home, Felix had started baking, because that usually helped to calm him down and he would really need that today. He didn't feel like seeing Minho again and having him at his own apartment, his own safe space, was really not necessary in his opinion.

What only made it worse was when Minho arrived way too early. "Are you ever on time?" Felix asked, clearly annoyed, but he stepped to the side to let Minho in.

"Last time you were mad I was late, now you're mad I'm early." Minho said in an annoyed voice.

Felix only rolled his eyes, walking back to the kitchen, while Minho took off his shoes. He didn't even want to talk to him after the party. It was his fault everyone was talking about them and making fun of them.

He went back to cleaning his kitchen after the mess he had made while baking, ignoring Minho when he walked into the small room. He saw Minho glance into the oven curiously.

"You bake?" He asked in a surprised tone.

"Why do you sound so surprised?" Felix asked, not even looking at Minho.
