She's Kinda Hot- 5sos

/:Omfg, Can we just:\

-Cole's POV-

I drove away from the Starbucks, cheeks still red from rejection.

As soon as walked outside I realized that I never got a drink, but I was too embarrassed to face Avery and Chris again.

I should have known that they were together. I mean, they're perfect for each other. They've been best friends since Kindergarten, and have been stuck together like glue since.

But I can't be mad at her for putting me down.

She's fucking hot.

I sighed deeply and shook my head as I turned the corner in my Black Dodge Charger.

"Rejection. Fucking. Sucks."

-Chris' POV-

"Okay, so what in the name of Jesus happened, Avery?" I yelled as I pulled out of the parking space.
"I-I don't fucking know, Chris. I panicked, and-and-" I cut her off.
"You realize that the whole school probably knows by now, right?" I told her. She held her illuminated phone to my face at a red light.
"Yeah, I fucking realized that, Chris. Those stupid teens took a picture of us shoving our tongues down each other's throat," I looked at the picture and chuckled. Avery looked at me with wide eyes and a smirk.
"What?! I'm serious, Chris. People think we're dating. I mean, look at these comments." She shook her head. I skimmed my eyes over the comments, picking out the words 'aweee' and 'finally' and 'couple of the year'.
"Don't act like you didn't like it," I laughed, biting my lip. Avery flicked her eyebrows up, signifying I went a bit too far.
"Okay, it wasn't a terrible kiss, but we're best friends. Like, I've told you everything; every boyfriend, every kiss- everything." I jokingly scoffed.
"You're my best friend too, Aves. And this is the way friendships go." I threw one hand in the air.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah." She said as she applied some lipgloss onto her swollen lips.
"Where do you wanna go now?" I asked Avery. She gave me a quizzed look, and then shrugged her shoulders.
"The mall? Just so I don't have to go home and deal with my moms questions about my knuckles." I bit my left cheek, turning the corner and heading towards the mall.

The truth was, I didn't want Avery to go out with Cole Benton. From all the stories I've heard, he's slept with pretty much every girl in our school who wears shorts or has c-cups. I just don't want her to get destroyed by Cole. I mean, I love her. I can't stand watching her get hurt.

"Yeah, we can do that."

-Avery's POV-

Chris and I walked inside of the mall through the main entrance, the smell of new shoes and Chinese food filling my nose. I felt my phone vibrate in my back pocket, and eyed the screen, trying to identify the foreign number.

(453)-676-0120: hey

"Who is it?" Chris asked me as we sat down on a bench. I shrugged.
"I don't know." I rapidly texted into the phone.

Avery: Who is this?

A text from the anonymous person quickly replied.

(453)-676-0120: Can you guess?

Avery: Just tell me or I'm blocking you.

(453)-676-0120: Fine, it's Cole. Cole Benton... Remember me?

I changed the contact name to Benton.

Avery: Yeah, yeah. Who gave you my number?

Benton: Dina Embrov. Sorry, I just needed to talk to you. I'm really sorry for asking you out earlier lol.
