I NEED ADVICE

As I said something happened to me and I need advice.
(Sorry about all the brackets, lol)

There are these two people in my year. Let's call them... Sam and Emily. Now, my friend (we'll call her E), and I noticed that this girl, Emily, had a crush on Sam, don't ask how we found out. It's a long explanation.

We aren't friends with her, but we don't hate her at the same time, you know? I was a little disappointed because I think I have had a little crush on Sam. Anyway, E and I noticed little moments from across the classroom, and it was so cute but kinda heart-breaking in a way.

BACKGROUND IMFORMATION: I am a fair bit taller than most people in my year, and it is a small insecurity of mine.

In a DT lesson, everyone was dispersed on different sides of the classroom (as normal), and I just heard little snippets of conversation like Sam: "Yeah, but she's so tall." Someone else: "So what? She's really nice."

I also noticed a few looks my way but ignored it. Also, Sam's friends have been treating me differently. I can't really describe it.

Last week I was walking with my friends and I saw some of Sam's friends in front of me talking. Then I hear my name and see them look around, spotting me instantly and then hurriedly talking to the others (who also turn around and see me).

NOW, E and I are convinced that Emily likes Sam. And kinda convinced he likes her.

However, today, E and I were at Panto (our school pantomime club). We were sitting on benches in the courtyard, our picnic table littered with year 7s. I also saw that Sam and one of his friends were kicking a football around (or for Americans, a soccer ball). I quickly realised that Sam was walking past us A LOT. OK, it was mostly to retrieve the ball, but... SHUT UP.

Since we were bored, I was blasting Spotify on my phone and singing along occasionally.
Then, I feel a presence behind me and see a shadow on the floor, so, naturally, I look around. There he is. SAM INCHES AWAY FROM MY FACE.😵‍💫
He starts talking to talk to me about the music, but that conversation is irrelevant.

I'm in my bedroom, thinking the day over and sure, I noticed some looks between Sam and Emily... but... also between Sam and me. I am probably crazy, but I can't get the image of him so close to my face out of my head.

What do I do? Genuine question. Please comment below. And if anything changes, I'll update.
