"Couldn't we just opt out of this?" Zooble asked, her arms crossed and a look of annoyance was showing on her face.

Caine responded with a wave of his magic wand. "Not an option, my dear Zooble!"

Zooble took a step back and let out a sigh. "Fine, I just won't participate then."

But Caine had a different idea. "Oh no, you will be participating! If you don't, you will be sent to the evaluation chamber!" He demanded, threateningly waving his wand around.

Zooble hesitated, taken aback. "The... what-"

Zooble's words were interrupted mid-sentence as she suddenly vanished without a trace.

Pomni glanced around, searching for any sign of her, but just as she was doing so, Caine's voice jolted her back to attention.

"Now ladies and gents, hold on to your hats and fishes, and prepare yourselves for an epic adventure!" Caine exclaimed, his eyes comically popping out and wildly rolling around.

"You always say that," Jax replied, letting out a sharp scoff through his teeth. His eyes locked onto Kinger, which made him flinch in fear.

"But this time, it's true! So go forth, my lovelies, and get ready, for this exciting adventure!" Caine exclaimed, opening a portal for the next adventure.

As expected, the group followed in, stepping through into a vehicle.

Inside, looking at the surroundings, the place looked like a bus, the interior designed with a lot of cushioned seats and big windows showing a field beyond.

Everyone walked onto the bus, claiming random seats with varying levels of excitement. Pomni hesitantly sat into a chair and looked out of the window, taking in her surroundings.

An automated voice spoke through the intercom, its tone mechanical and was showing not a hint of emotion.

"Welcome. Please take your seats." The voice stated.

"What the hell is this? Some sort of torturing method or something?" Jax muttered, plopping down next to Pomni and obnoxiously man-spreading out his legs, claiming way more room than necessary.

Pomni turned to him momentarily before returning her gaze out the window.

"Guess we'll just have to wait and see..." Pomni said nonchalantly.

The bus rumbled, the were wheels turning as the scenery changed outside, transforming into a nice green field.

Pomni heard a soft whisper coming from her left and it grabbed her attention. Pomni drew her gaze towards the voice, it was Jax. "Hey, wanna see something funny?" He murmured, a sly grin forming at his mouth.

Pomni eased back in her seat, giving him an unsure look. "Not really?" Pomni replied, her tone filled with disinterest.

Jax picked up a random ball from the ground, ignoring Pomni's response, and without warning, threw it at Gangle. The impact made her flinch, her ribbon limbs started to flail comically as she struggled to keep her balance.

Gangle let out a startled squeak as she tumbled to the bus floor, her comedy mask shattering beside her.

"JAX!?" Ragatha's voice echoed loudly through the bus.

He didn't even flinch, he just slouched deeper into his seat with an exaggerated sigh, draping one leg over the other and giving Pomni a glance.

"Ugh... Here comes 'Miss goody two shoes' to ruin my fun," he muttered under his breath, rolling his eyes.

Meanwhile, Ragatha dropped to Gangle's side in an instant, she helped prop her up. Gangle was still trembling.

"Are you okay? Did that hurt?" Ragatha asked with a tone full of concern.

"Yeah... thank you..." Gangle mumbled, her voice quivering as Ragatha settled her back into her seat.

Ragatha spun around, her expression angry as she walked toward Jax.

"That wasn't funny, Jax! You're always tormenting her! Why can't you just... not?!" She snapped, her hands were planted firmly at her hips.

Jax raised an eyebrow, still lounging back on his chair without a care in the world. "Oh please," he dismissed, "I do more than just torment her Raggy." Jax said in a satirical way, smirking after it.

"Ugh! For just one day, ONE DAY! Could you NOT? Is that an even remotely feasible task for you?" Ragatha demanded, fists still at her hips.

Jax rolled his eyes, his irritation was showing through his words. "Jeez... Can you lighten up just a little?"

Jax sighed dramatically, "Boring." He added.

Ragatha, who was unimpressed, ignored his yapping and settled down in her seat as the bus rumbled into the bus station.

"Honestly, Jax she's not entirely wrong. You do seem to be... Well you know, a bit of a jerk sometimes." Pomni stated boldly, watching his reaction with narrow eyes.

Jax's pupils dilated in genuine shock at Pomni's words, his ears even twitching backward briefly as if they were physically recoiling from Pomni's words. "Excuse me?" he muttered out, "I'm the jerk here? Ha! They're the problem!" He gestured wildly toward Ragatha and Gangle.

"This whole place is just...You guys just LOVE acting like NPC's huh? Following caine's rules. Where's the variety?! Where's fun?!" Jax said, his voice dropped into something close to a whine.

Pomni simply stared out at passing trees again. "...What if we want it quiet?" She muttered.

Jax shifted, crossing his arms defensively.

"Whatever," he huffed, leaning back in his seat, "Just...Stay away from me is all i ask..." He grumbled.

Pomni held steady eye contact. "You see, that right there? That's why everyone thinks you're the jerk, Jax." Pomni admitted boldly, shaking her head.

Jax didn't even mutter out a word. He just scoffed, and the bus continued to rumble.
