[Nine]

Lucas has been a wonderful teacher. He is patient and doesn't get frustrated, even when I do however. His language is hard to learn, it is so different from the English language. None of the Irish words sound like English.

In Spanish, some of the words sound similar to the English translation. Such as 'teléfono' which means telephone, or 'lámpara' means lamp. But with Irish, there is no similarities. Even though I find Lucas's language beautiful, I can't help but think he is making up words just to mess with me.

I am currently sitting in Lucas's office, working of my Irish as Lucas attends to some pack business. He doesn't seem to mind having me in the room and it gives me comfort to be beside him. We are hardly apart from one another.

I peek up to stare at Lucas. His big brown eyes read over a document placed on his desk, his head resting on his right hand. His fingers subconsciously rub away the stress that is gathering at his forehead. His lips are pressed together. "What is it you are reading?" I ask.

I have to name all of the members of the pack that left... To legalize their separation so they can create a new pack.  I am ashamed to say it, but I don't know any other their names. Lucas says, not looking up from the paper.

Standing, I walk over to stand behind him, gazing down at a paper that holds two names. He only remembers two people out of a hundred who betrayed him.

I wrap my arms around him, placing my hands on his chest as I rest my chin on his shoulder. "Look at the pack registry. You remember the one's loyal to you... So cross them off and the ones remaining are the one's who left." I suggest, shrugging me shoulders.

Sure, that would take a long time but I see that he has no other way of remember the names.

You're brilliant. Lucas grabs my left hand off his chest and places a soft kiss to my knuckles. This is why I am so lucky to have you.

"Hmm, yes that... among many other reasons." I place a kiss on his cheek and head back over to sit on the couch again, returning to my studies.

Sea, mar shampla an bhfíric go bhfuil tú tóin álainn.

I whip around and glare at him, "What about my bottom?" I ask.

Lucas gives me a large grin as he crossed his arms. You only got bottom out of that?

"I made sure to learn the inappropriate words first, so I know if you're saying anything... well inappropriate." Lucas laughs, his light brown eyes, for the first time, shining with joy.

Seeing him so happy makes me proud. It is an accomplishment to make Lucas smile and laugh. I know he has been through so much in his life, so to know that I am the reason he is happy fills me with pride.

"What exactly did you say?"

I said, 'yes, for example the fact you have a beautiful bottom'. I look down at my butt and smile.

"Classy." I mumble and sit on the couch, looking down at the Irish books given to me by Lucas.

Yes, I have homework. I haven't had homework since I was sixteen years old. In packs, our education is different. We learn the basics, such as Mathematics, science and History. But we also learn the werewolf history, the pack life, and the roles of a pack. At the age of sixteen, we graduate school.

I hate having homework again, I was so used to the freedom of never having to worry about it. But now I have a workbook to help me learn Irish. Sure, this is something I want to learn, but that doesn't take away the fact that I feel like I'm in school again.
