"I can't tell you, I signed an NDA, Just know it's going to be good." Jai tries to switch the subject quickly, "I'm ready to order, are you?" Giselle nods and looks down at her lap, then looks around the restaurant. "I know that look, what do you have to say Giselle?" Giselle smiles awkwardly at Jai and tries to respond, however the waitress comes to their table before she could get it out. "Hello my name is Louisa, I am your waitress what will you guys be having today?" Jai looks at Giselle and signals for her to go first. "Uhm I'll have the Wagyu steak with Brussels Sprouts and potatoes please." The waitress writes down her order, "Would you like anything to drink?" "Uhm I'll let her decide." The waitress nods and looks to Jai, "and what can I get started for you?" Jai puts the menu down," I'll have the Brisket with potatoes, and Brussels Sprouts, and a bottle of your finest wine for the table please." The waitress nods, and continues to write their orders down. "I'll put that order in now, and have that wine right out for you."
Jai nods and Giselle rolls her eyes, "what I do?" Giselle responds jokingly, "You stole my order." They laugh and Giselle pulls her gaze away from Jai. "Oh that's right, what did you have to tell me?" Giselle responds nervously, "You know we have to talk about it right? I never got closure when you left." Jai sits up straight and takes a deep breath, "I wasn't feeling it anymore. We were arguing too much and neither of us had time for each other, college was stressful and we couldn't communicate. It was just our time, you did nothing wrong." Giselle looks into Jai's eyes and responds, "Honestly, you're right. Our paths were different and we had different values." Jai shrugs her shoulders and nods in agreement. "Plus Jai, we were too childish to trust each other so that hurt us even more."
Jai responds subtly, "Yea well those things are in the past, and we must focus on the present." Giselle raises an eyebrow, "there you go again talking all grown up." They lean in close to each other and look into each other's eyes. Giselle bites her lip and Jai does the same while looking her up and down. Jai licks her lips and the waitress comes back with the wine. "So Sorry to interrupt, here's that wine you requested. It is an aged import from Italy. A 1999 bottle of Brunello di Montalcino, and it is known for being a rich and distinctive red wine. It's perfect for steak and brisket." The waitress opens the bottle and pours wine into both glasses. "Your food should be ready soon."
