Ash jumped into the water to go rescue Misty, the person he had loved from the very beginning. He gave her a special shell whistle a week after meeting her.
Ash swam down and got Misty out of tentacruels grasp. On the way up, tentacruel wrapped one tentacle around Ash's leg and used poison jab on Ash's chest before letting go, tearing his jeans and poisoning him more.
Ash returned to the surface, only to be tired. Misty gave Ash a big hug and he screamed out in pain. They decided to take a detour to an island.
