(A young woman with dark purple hair in a long braid, wearing a dark green crop top and navy jeans, leans on her sword, clearly checking her nails for any imperfections. She suddenly looks around her, sensing she is not where she should be.)
RUMI: (Surprised, perplexed, wary) What the...
(Her sword glows, and a bright rainbow-colored light fills the room. Suddenly, it vanishes, and in its place is a handsome young man with short dark hair. She recognizes him immediately.)
RUMI: (Stunned, amazed) Jinu! What are you doing here? Aren't you, you know... dead?
JINU: (Smiling softly at her) Rumi. Ever since the day I sacrificed my life for you and gave you my soul, not once have I ever left your side. I've been in your sword this entire time.
RUMI: (Looking down at her sword) Now that I think about it... I DID suspect you were in my sword. I guess that explains its sudden change in appearance. (Jokingly) So, does that mean you're my guardian angel now?
JINU: (Rolls his eyes in amusement) Ha, ha, very funny. But yeah, something like that.
RUMI: (Suddenly changing the topic) Hey, Jinu... do you perhaps know where we are?
JINU: (Sighing, as if remembering something important) Yeah. Some weird magic lady appeared out of nowhere and told me, at least in my head, that she'd be transporting us both somewhere else to "react to other worlds", whatever that means.
RUMI: (Staring up at him, her eyes narrowing in annoyance) So you knew, this entire time?
JINU: (Raising his arms in defense) Hey, don't blame me. I didn't even get a say in any of this before we were transported here.
RUMI: (Sighing deeply) Fine, I guess that's a fair argument. (Noticing two empty seats) Well, since we clearly don't have any choice but to react, how about we sit over there?
JINU: (Frowning in annoyance) You DO remember I'm dead, right? I can't physically interact with the world around me anymore.
RUMI: (Smiling, patting the spot next to her) Well, yeah, but it wouldn't hurt to try, would it?
(He sighs, but goes over to the seat next to Rumi's. Surprisingly, and much to his amazement, he is able to sit down, as if he never died protecting the woman he loved from his former master.)
JINU: (Eyes wide in awe) Woah. This is... amazing. It's like I'm not dead at all.
RUMI: (Smiles, looks around the room in curiosity.) I wonder where the others are. I mean, surely we're not the only ones reacting today, right? I mean, you DID mention "other worlds".
ME: Hi, lovebirds! Welcome to my reaction room!
JINU: (Groaning) Ugh, great. It's that crazy lady I was telling you about, Rumi. (To me) And don't call us lovebirds! It feels embarrassing!
ME: HEY! First of all, I'm not crazy! And two, I can ship the both of you as much as I like!
RUMI: (Laughing in amusement) It's fine, Jinu. I really don't mind it.
ME: (Clearing my throat) Anyways, just sit tight, you two. I'm about to bring in the next set of guests.
(Suddenly, four young women appear. One of them, clearly the youngest, looks around and groans inwardly, realizing where she and her friends have been transported.)
RUBY ROSE: (Sighing) Ah, great. Where are we now?
WEISS SCHNEE: (Clearly annoyed herself) Ugh, honestly. We JUST made it back to Remnant after leaving the Ever After, and now we're in another weird place?
BLAKE BELLADONNA: (Surprisingly not that freaked out herself) Take it easy, Weiss. Whoever brought us here doesn't seem to be a threat. (Glancing at the blonde-haired, violet-eyed girl next to her) Right, Yang?
YANG XIAO LONG: I guess. (Glancing over at Rumi and Jinu) And those two are pretty chill. (Noticing four chairs) Oh, look. Four chairs for each of us! Let's sit down and hear what the person who brought us here has to say before we make any brash decisions.
(They sit in silence, wary of all these other people.)
ME: Greetings, Team RWBY! Welcome to my reaction room! Oh, and before you ask how I know that, I will explain in due time. Simply, put, you'll be reacting to other worlds. But for now, please stay seated!
YANG: (Frowning, her tone skeptical) Okay...
WEISS SCHNEE: (Her eyes narrowed in suspicion) As if that totally isn't weird.
ME: (Speaking) Alright, sit tight, ladies! I am going to bring in our other guests.
(A young boy with reddish-brown hair and a mysterious scar in the upper left corner of his forehead, wearing an odd uniform with a black-green checkered haori and wielding a katana, looks around him warily. His companion, a young girl of short stature with deep purple eyes and black hair tied into a side ponytail fastened with a pink-green butterfly hair accessory, a white coat over her uniform, peeks out from behind him, a look of curiosity mixed with wariness on her delicate face. She looks at the boy beside her.)
KANAO TSUYURI: (Her voice shaky) T-Tanjiro-san, where... are we?
TANJIRO KAMADO: (Inhaling deeply, exhaling slowly, trying to keep himself calm) I don't know Kanao-san, but seeing how all these other people are sitting rather calmly, I think we can ease up a bit. (Noticing two chairs behind Team RWBY) Let's sit over there, and save our questions for later.
(Kanao nods, and they both sit down.)
ME: Greetings! The both of you will be reacting to other worlds, as you can probably tell by all the people sitting around. Now then, stay seated, as I'm about to bring in our two remaining guests.
KANAO: I see... "Other worlds", huh? This will surely be interesting.
TANJIRO: How intriguing. I'm curious which of these "worlds" we'll see first.
(A young boy with dark hair in a small bun, wearing a traditional red kimono almost too big for his size, and carrying a shamisen, looks around, his single visible eye wide with alarm and fear. Almost immediately, a large snow monkey steps in front of him, its face contorted in anger and a desire to protect the young boy.)
MONKEY: (Eyes alert, glaring at everyone in the room) Kubo, stay behind me. We have no idea who these people are.
KUBO: (Trying to calm her down) B-But Monkey, they don't seem to be bad people.
MONKEY: (Staring deeply into his one remaining eye) Kubo, your LIFE is in danger! Don't act so recklessly. I made a promise to your mother that I would keep you safe, no mater what, and that's what I intend to do. So DON'T let your guard down.
KUBO: (Frowning) But Monkey, they-
MONKEY: (Interrupting) Not. Another. Word.
(Kubo frowns, before walking towards where Rumi and Jinu are seated.)
MONKEY: (Calling after him) KUBO!!!
(Kubo ignores her, instead looking up at Rumi.)
KUBO: Sorry about that. Please don't mind Monkey. She's not usually like this. She just cares so much about me, you know?
RUMI: (Smiling at the boy) Don't apologize. I can see very clearly that Monkey is acting out of her own good intent.
ME: (Getting everyone's attention) Greetings, guests! I promise I mean no harm. Like I mentioned before, all of you will be reacting to your respective worlds. Now please settle down, as we are about to start this reaction session.
TANJIRO: (Enthusiastically) Who will be first?
ME: (Smiling) First you'll be reacting to Kubo's world.
KUBO & MONKEY: (In unison) Ugh, great.
