Reina's Point of View:
I looked around at the empty house. Or... at least emptier. I live in an apartment that is meant to be shared with a roommate, and well... to put it short, my roommate of two years has left. So now, there's a bedroom empty as hell and the bathroom we shared is... half-empty.
Sure, it's not as messy as it used to be but... I miss seeing our toothbrushes together and seeing the stupid beard shavings in the sink and the cologne on the side of the sink. His room that I always slept in. His messy room.
Damn, why do I have to be such a dumb fuck.
I miss him.
I walked into my bedroom, that was definitely full/messy and had lots of vines and stuffed animals literally everywhere. My vinal disks hanging on the wall with tiny polaroids of us kissing and cuddling.
His jet-black hair and his soft fucking lips...
Fuck, I'm doing it again.
I sighed and walked into the living room and kitchen, seeing how it was still the same. At least that didn't change. I walked into the empty room that was once his. It didn't smell like him anymore.
I tugged at my sleeve. Well, it's not really mine... I stole it from him. I pulled up the hood and grabbed my phone, along with my earbuds. I put my earbuds in and left the house. My hair was neatly curled at the ends, even with the hoodie on.
I walked out of my house. My new roommate was supposedly coming in today, as they didn't even really tour the house or anything.
It was a little weird but... at least I won't be paying the bills alone anymore. It is draining the very little money I have so fast, I'll be broke before I even finish college.
He's been gone for quite a bit now. Around a month or two. It seems like longer and I've almost called him several times now. I still feel his hands on my hips, his lips grazing mine gently as he kissed me, before saying he'd be back after I got off from school. Every. Single. Morning.
Shit.
I am not getting over him. And this shit isn't going to help. I just need to think about something else. One of my sad songs started to play. Damn it.
I breathed in and out, nervous to meet my new roommate. Hopefully they'll be smart because I've never been very smart and am especially lacking in my grades now. I hate this process. I hated getting this apartment.
Because around two years ago I was so anxious that my roommate was going to be loud and annoying or drunk, or literally anything bad. Instead, he was fucking perfect.
Now I'm the one being anxious to get a roommate. And I'm sure it's not going to be the hottest man on the planet. I walked down the stairs of the apartment complex, the smell of pot arising. This whole apartment thing was sketchy, and I'm surprised no one's gotten arrested or evicted yet.
I start to tear up. I was such a softie to sad songs. I already had a massive headache from crying myself to sleep again last night. I hate my bed. It's so... hard to sleep alone. I pushed down the tears, turning off the song and putting my earbuds back in the case.
Oh great. Alone with my thoughts.
I mean, I know I do have a cuddle bug, my cat, Tofu. She was a ragdoll cat, a bicolor lynx blue one. She is such a sweetheart. She didn't really like others very much and it I think affected her too after the break-up.
She's been the one helping me through this. All through this. I have a friend too, a best friend, Mayumi. Mayumi and Tofu are the only ones about. My family aren't really... that supportive and they were really upset after I got moved out of the dorms.
