Your friends all processed in their own ways about Millicent's breast cancer diagnosis.
Iona has burst into tears as soon as Millie said the word cancer.
Fred and George remained silent where they were, unsure of what to say to Mills or how to react.
Schmidt has began smothering Millicent in hugs and kisses, afraid to let his best friend move from his arms.
Lee looked like he was about to throw up at any moment. His face had grown insanely pale and he hasn't moved an inch, staring at Millie with tears in his eyes.
You, however, had been silently crying on your best friend's shoulder as she answered all of the many questions that your friends had for her. You weren't just crying for your best friend, you were also crying over what had been happening lately.
Your best friend's cancer diagnosis, being drugged by the boy you liked, and finding out that you can never have kids of your own because you do not have a uterus.
Everything was so emotional for you, and your friends didn't even know about your lack of fertility. You used Millie outing her cancer as a way to cry about everything that had happened lately, and nobody even questioned it.
Fred had grabbed your hand as soon as Millie was done explaining what she been going through, and he hadn't let go for a single millisecond since.
Even when everybody left your dormitory to head to bed since it was a Sunday night, be still didn't let go. When he gave Millie the tightest hug he had ever given, his hand remained glued to yours.
You knew that Fred would have been staying in your dorm with you for the night, that was a given when you got out of the hospital wing after being spiked. You also knew that he was devastated at Millie's life altering illness, and he wouldn't have wanted to be without you tonight.
"Did you know?" Was the first thing Fred said to you when the door closed behind the rest of your friends.
"Fred..." you trailed your words off.
"Did you know that one of the two girls I consider my sister has had breast cancer for months straight?" Fred asked you, his voice breaking half way through his words as wet tears formed in his eyes.
You could tell that Fred was absolutely devastated, he wasn't mad at you at all. In fact, he seemed quite the opposite.
He considered Mills and Iona his sisters, he felt the same way about them as he did his biological sister, Ginny. It was certain that he would be upset about something as huge and serious as a cancer diagnosis.
"I've known since the start of school." You told Fred, hating yourself for keeping this a secret for so long. "I wanted to tell you, Fred, I really did, but she asked me not to!"
"Why?" His voice broke. "Lucille, she might die. Millie could die, and-"
"She's not gonna die." You were extremely quick to tell him, shaking your head and holding both his hands in yours. "Did you not hear what she was saying? She might be cancer free come Christmas time, Fred, she is going to be just fine."
He was avoiding eye contact with you, but you could tell that he has quickly grown more and more upset. His chest was rising quite quickly, his hands shaking the tiniest bit ever, but it was noticeable.
