x.1 A Proper introduction.

Next morning

BLINKS POV

A loud ticking sound from the nearby church. Letting the camp know it's morning. I cover my ears; compared to everyone else, mine were more sensitive. So this ticking sound always drove me insane. As I try to move slightly, I lie tangled up with Fiji in a blue bed. I lay there in the silence, before Fiji starts to roll awake slightly. His grip is tight on me as he holds me against his chest. I won't deny, I love cuddling with him. But normally, he would be out of bed by now, already dressed and prepared for the next day. I slowly let his arms lie on the bed, and I sit up next to him. I softly pet his hair and his ears. That soft angel fur, his handsome face. I rub my eyes as I still adjust to everything fully. For a second, last night played.

" I don't care how long it takes- you know we need it. WE NEED IT NOW"

I quickly shake my head, gripping the bed sheets slightly, my hands softly crawl to my neck. I gently feel the skin there, the harsh marks still there from the night before. The silence only got louder. Maybe he just needs some sleep. I can take care of the start of the day by myself. 

I softly shuffle off the bed and stand up. I walk, dust my coat off, then see that the blood stain is still there. Completely forgot about it- I walk to the closet nd fetch a new coat. After a minute, and I'm dressed, as I walk towards the door, I peek into the bedroom. He still lies there in a peaceful sleep, having whatever dreams he may have. I sigh before opening the cabin door and gently shutting it behind me. I look around, and I see that almost everyone has woken up and is waiting at the church. 

' crap, it's Tuesday- I forgot.. ' I quickly walked over to the church and saw the other members standing there waiting. "Sorry, I lost track of time-" I say in a raspy voice. I unlock the church doors and gently pull them wide open. As I stand there looking on at who's entering, I feel a small tap on my shoulder. I flinch slightly, I didn't mean to, but.

" I had a question- how come Fiji isn't outside yet? You were 15 minutes late," a female but gentle voice. I turn around and see it's just Lilly. "Sorry- he hasn't woken up yet. I will just let him rest. " I said, smiling anxiously. Lilly stood there staring at me for a second, her pastel pink eyes slowly drifting to my neck. " If you don't mind me asking- there's a mark on your neck.. is there a reason-" 

"IT'S NOTHING- " I shout, quickly cutting her off.

She flinched slightly from the sudden change, she smiled gently, "Okay, okay.." before she floated herself into the church. I stood there still by the door, realizing that the mark was way too visible, so I adjusted my bow, trying to cover it. I'll deal with it later.. I peek inside the church entrance, and I start to count and see who is there.

" clue, Lilly, axe, blu, wendy, and alisa- " wait- where is clover? I sit there silently pondering, starting to overthink slightly. Soon, I hear footsteps walk over to me.  I look up, and it's just Fiji. " Hey, you were still awake when the clock went off, and I decided to let you rest for a bit.. " I said softly. Fiji walked over to me and gave me a soft pat on the head, " I can take it from here. " his soft voice always made my tail wag even the slightest. " well that's perfect- because I realized clover isn't here- So I'm going to go on a hunt for them- if that's okay. " I said, anxiously picking at my claws. Fiji smiles and walks inside silently. 

As he walks in, I look around the campground before spotting Clove's shared cabin. I notice the window curtains are open. I mean, I would assume they're awake. I walk up to their cabin door and do a gentle knock. In seconds, they flung the door open, "I'm sorry I was late- I woke up late again!" the yellowish fox said in a panic. I smiled softly, "Don't worry, it's fine- I wanted to talk to you alone first, either way. " I said, smiling. They moved from the door frame so I could walk inside. I take a seat at the small table each cabin had. The wooden chairs were always so uncomfortable to sit on, but you get used to them over time.

Clover closes the door and walks over, and sits in the spot across from me at the table. I softly speak, " I wanted to ask for you to help me with a task im need to do if you wouldn't mind. I'm pretty sure you haven't done something like this. But I need you badly for assistance. " I said with a gentle smile. Clover's ears picked up straight, " Of course, anything for you, leade-" before they finished their sentence, they were interrupted, " you don't need to call me leader, just call me blink. " I said softly, "Your powers can put people to sleep, correct?" I said in a harder tone of voice. Clover raised an eyebrow before nodding softly.

"You wouldn't mind helping me kill someone with your abilities, right?"

I felt insane stating that sentence. Death makes my stomach curl, but I have to do what I have to do. Clover sat there quietly, their only visible eye, obviously avoiding eye contact. As the silence was louder than anything, the tension sat in the room between us. Nobody likes death, I would understand.

"Okay. What do I need to do? " 

I sat there quietly, a little bit shocked from that response, no questions asked or anything- I mean, it's not too shocking because they're all brainwashed into all of these beliefs, but I don't know how to think about it. I smile softly, "I'm heading to this location. " I placed a piece of paper with an area marked on it. " According to what I was told, there are a few college students located there. Fiji only told me that we have permission to. Since no family members visit them, they are usually all located in the same house. Their house is also pretty small. " I said in a stern voice. But underneath the table, my leg was shaking. How could anyone want to do something so cruel?

"I'm leaving today, and the others have their tasks according to what Fiji told me. Your assistance is wanted-" I pause before correcting myself, " mandatory. You have an hour to get prepared, and once ready, please meet me at the lake, understood?"
