Fourth: (shaking his head, voice low) “I never did anything to you—”
Gemini: (cold smile) “Exactly. That’s the problem. You never do anything. You just… exist. And I don’t like it.”
Before Fourth could speak again, Gemini pulled out a bottle of water — not to offer, but to pour it slowly over Fourth’s head, letting it soak his hair, shirt, and bag.
Gemini: “Now you look exactly how I see you — pathetic.”
Pond took one of Fourth’s notebooks, ripped a few pages, and tossed them into a puddle.
Fourth: (breathing shakily) “Why… why are you doing this?”
Gemini: (stepping closer, voice low) “Because I can.”
Fourth’s lips trembled, but he didn’t cry — and that, somehow, made Gemini’s smirk widen.
Gemini: “Let’s make a rule. Every time I call, you come. No questions. No hesitation. Or…” (he leans in) “…we find your brother.”
Fourth’s eyes widened slightly — a flicker of fear. That was enough for Gemini.
Gemini: (stepping back) “Good. Now clean this mess before someone sees you.”
Gemini, Pond, and Joong walked away laughing, leaving Fourth standing in the wet dirt, his belongings ruined, his clothes dripping, and his chest heavy with a question that burned:
Why me?
Scene: Tae’s Café, Late Afternoon
The warm smell of freshly baked bread filled the café as Taehyung wiped down the wooden counter. A soft tune hummed from the speakers, and the light from the setting sun cast an orange glow inside.
At a corner table, Jungkook scrolled through his phone, leaning back with his usual confident smirk. His sharp eyes narrowed when a notification popped up — another message from the anonymous account that had been sending him suggestive offers for weeks.
Jungkook (reading aloud to himself, smirking):
"Name’s Taehyung. You’ll like what I can do."
He chuckled, tapping the screen.
Jungkook: "So, your name is Taehyung, huh? Let’s see where you are."
He checked the café’s bill receipt from earlier — the name tag of the barista read Taehyung. His smirk widened.
Jungkook (to himself): "Well, well… what are the chances?"
He stood up, pocketing his phone, and strolled towards the counter. Tae, busy arranging coffee cups, didn’t even notice him until Jungkook leaned against the counter casually.
Jungkook: "Hey… Taehyung, right?"
Tae (glancing up politely): "Yes, sir. How can I help you? Need another drink?"
Jungkook (grinning slyly): "Hmm, not exactly. I just… wanted to meet you in person."
Tae (confused, giving a small smile): "Meet me? Do we know each other?"
Jungkook (leaning in a bit, lowering his voice): "Oh, I think we do. At least… you’ve been sending me very interesting messages."
Tae (blinking, confused): "Messages? Sorry, I think you’ve got the wrong person."
Jungkook (smirking wider): "Come on, no need to play innocent. Same name, same city… You’ve been teasing me for weeks. ‘You can sleep with anyone, try with me sometime.’ That was you, right?"
Tae (frowning, taken aback): "Excuse me?!"
Jungkook: "I mean, I’m not judging. In fact… I’m curious. So tell me—" (he tilts his head, his tone dripping with arrogance) "—if you can sleep with anyone for money… why not start with me?"
There was a moment of stunned silence. Tae’s eyes widened in pure shock, his hand tightening around the cloth he was holding.
Tae (slowly, voice icy): "You think… I what?"
Jungkook (smiling as if it’s a game): "Oh, don’t act offended. I’m saying it as a compliment. You must be good at it if you—"
SLAP!
The sharp sound echoed in the café. A few customers turned their heads. Jungkook froze for a second, his cheek stinging from the sudden slap.
Tae (furious, pointing at him): "I don’t know who you think I am, but I’m not whoever you’ve been talking to. And I don’t sell myself to anyone, got it?!"
Jungkook (touching his cheek, still strangely calm): "…You hit me."
Tae: "You insulted me."
For a brief moment, Jungkook expected himself to explode with anger — but oddly, he didn’t. Instead, he just stared at Tae, something unexplainable flickering in his eyes.
Jungkook (softly, almost to himself): "Interesting…"
Tae (still glaring): "If you’re done, please leave. I have customers to serve."
Jungkook (straightening up, smirking faintly despite the slap): "Fine… Taehyung. But this isn’t over."
He walked out, leaving Tae fuming behind the counter — completely unaware that Jungkook’s mind was already spinning with curiosity about the man who dared to slap him.
