Chapter 3: Class Rep and Friends?

"Hope you are well rested after your battle trials yesterday," Aizawa said as he walked into the classroom. Black hair wild and tamed all at the same time and same tired eyes. He really needed to stop going on patrol all the time on nights he had to teach. Takara shook her head and rested her chin on her palm. "I took the liberty of reviewing your marks and evaluations. Bakugou, stop acting like a 7 year old. You are just wasting your talent."

"I know," Bakugou growled as he tightened his fists and looked down at them. Takara glanced at him thoughtfully. She really wondered what made him tick sometimes. He seemed like the type of person Takara would get along with if she ever took on friends. The ones who appeared like people would avoid but when people got to know them, they weren't what society expected. She did love to pick on him though.

"And you," AIzawa said, turning to look at Midoiriya who suddenly sat up straight in his seat nervously. "Are you always planning on destroying your arm, Midoriya? You can't keep using the excuse that you can't use your quirk properly. I've said it before, Once you've cleared the hurdle, you'll be much more flexible. So I need to see some sweat out of you Midoriya."

"Yes Sir!" Midorya said, determined. He was another one Takara was curious about. Why did it appear like he just got his quirk? Like he had never used it before? Was it because of the limited access to healers like Recovery Girl? What drove him? He had amazing pain tolerance too. To break bones like that and still attempt to move, that was some strong determination. She would know. She was curious about his story.

"Yuuki, no one likes a show off," Aizawa said looking at her. "You could have put everyone in the area in danger." Takara rolled her eyes and flipped him off.

"The only way anyone would have been in danger is if I wanted it," Takara said. "My fire does not burn what I do not wish it to. I have absolute control." She said with firm confidence, but not arrogance. She had trained hours upon hours for months to years to gain this amount of control. She did not notice the curious look from her mirror image in the back of the class. He was curious about what she was talking about. How could she have that amount of control of fire?

"That is not the point," Aizawa said. "You have been reckless in the past and need to learn control of your attitude, not just your quirk." Takara glared at him. "Now let's get on to homeroom notices."

"Hold on," Takara said interrupting. "Why reprimand me and not the fucking mirror image in the back of the class? He used the same amount of force in a reckless way as well. He could have caused frostbite or hypothermia to his classmates who were not dressed for cold weather and he was acting the 'hero'" Takara rolled her eyes. "You will reprimand me for my so called reckless use and not his?" Aizawa looked at her for a moment as he thought about how to answer her in a way she might be satisfied with.

"For one, he was acting within the time limit of the exercise where higher limits of power were allowed. You used yours after the exercise had ended." Aizawa stated. "Also both those injuries you listed take time exposure to the element of cold. Fire can burn upon instant contact to almost any surface."

"And I told you not mine," Takara said. "I could surround anyone in fire right now and it would not singe a single hair on their body." Her fire would not actually make physical contact with the object. As long as she could keep a small air barrier between her fire and the object she could control where the heat was directed. She could keep the heat internal to the fire, which just caused it to burn hotter and hotter on the inside. Though the hotter it got, the harder it got to contain. Usually she forced the heat upwards and away from what she was protecting.

"Again not the point," Aizawa said. "Its about knowing when and where to use your quirk. You cannot always depend on it for everything and there are times and places you cannot use it at all. You need to learn how to handle situations and times where your quirk is appropriate and the levels it can be used. Here in school is where we will teach you that. I never said you were being reprimanded either, I said you need to learn from it." Takara grumbled as she sunk into her seat. She hated that he had a point. "Now as I was saying, on to homeroom announcements. I am sorry to have to spring this on all of you, but we need to pick a class representative." The rest of the class erupted in cheers and yelling. Takara sank down in her seat with her arms crossed over her chest. She wanted nothing to do with the position or its responsibilities, not like anyone would want her to do it anyway. Takara was grateful to the one named Tenya Iida, when he got the class to quiet down and decide on a vote. Takara stared at her voting sheet for a long time. She was not going to put down her own name. She almost put down Bakugou because it would be interesting but then she thought nothing would ever get done. She glanced at the tall glasses wearing male again. She shrugged and scribbled the boy's name down just as someone came around to collect them. She tossed her ballot in the box.
