"Look at me." Tae refused. "Look at me Tae."
"Please.. I'm sorry, let me go." Captain heavily sighed and suddenly spun him around- pinning him against the wall. Tae gasped as his back hit the wall with a soft thud.
"You don't get to do that and then run away."
Too close. Way too close.
Tae didn't know what to feel, his heart craved him but his mind told him to think rationally.
He gulped as Captain surrounded him in his scent with a strange look in his eyes. He couldn't tell what it meant exactly. A mix of frustration, annoyance and.. something else.
"I'm sorry, I don't know why I did that, it was a mistak-" he was cut off by a pair of lips claiming his own and to say he was shocked would be an understatement.
He blinked rapidly trying to understand what the heck was happening once again. Today has been full of surprises for Tae and this was the last thing he ever expected to happen.
Captain was kissing him, it wasn't gentle, it was almost too hungry and aggressive. It took him a while but he melted into it and allowed his lips to move in tandem with Captain's.
He really did taste sweet.
An unparalleled intoxicating sweetness- the kind you'd get drunk on and still yearn for more.
They pushed and pulled, drinking each other up until their lips were red and thoroughly devoured. Neither of them cared that they were in public, in the middle of their apartment complex's entrance, eating each other's faces for what seemed like hours. If any of their neighbours came out, they'd experience the shock of their lives.
Tae seemed to have forgotten his assumptions about Captain's supposed boyfriend until the last remaining working brain cell reminded him. He abruptly pulled back and put his hands on Captain's chest to establish some distance between them.
"Cap, stop.. stop" Captain looked dazed and out of breath when he pulled away. His now red and swollen lips still chased after Tae's like they were his lifeline.
"We shouldn't have done this..." he started, eyes darting to the floor, refusing to look him in the eye.
"Don't say that. You have no idea how badly I wanted to kiss you." Captain's breath was hurried. He sounded desperate to hold onto what they just awakened between them.
"But.. It's wrong.. You have a boyfriend and I should have stopped this befor-" he was cut off by a bewildered Captain attempting to make sense of what he was hearing.
"Hold on wait... Since when did I have a boyfriend?" Tae looked up, meeting his now very confused eyes.
"I saw you two at the bakery.. Jay told me you're rekindling your relationship." Captain was even more confused, eyebrows knitting as realization slowly dawned on him.
The week after he left their apartment, Pah visited him out of nowhere. It was a surprise to say the least, but the man was only there to inform him on his engagement and give the both of them some much needed closure after what he pulled when they were younger.
Captain was happy for him, happy that he finally let himself be free to live and love as a queer man. He didn't hold any grudges, he understood that society was hard on people like them and sometimes it takes a long time to come to terms with it and yourself.
"Jay I'm gonna kill you" he muttered under his breath before tilting Tae's chin up to meet his gaze.
"Tae. He's not my boyfriend. And he never will be. He's my ex and that's the only title he will ever hold. Besides, he only came by to tell me he's getting married."
