The morning rays filtered through the transparent curtains of the living room, dancing around the two men cuddling on the sofa.
It was a sunny and peaceful time of day- birds were chirping, people were preparing to commute to their workplace, even street food vendors could be heard in the distance, setting up their produce and advertising their goods for the day.
Captain stirred first, very disoriented by the surroundings and the weird weight on his chest and around his waist.
But then he remembered.
He was back to the apartment, on the sofa, and the man clinging to him almost like a Koala, was his best friend and roommate and possibly something more that he was too afraid to address just yet.
Tae was sleeping soundlessly, buried deep in his chest. The literal sun could never be brighter than the sunshine that bloomed in Captain's heart in that instant.
Tae fit in his arms too perfectly- like he was made for it. Like every single molecule of his creation was put together with otherworldly precision, preparing him for the sole purpose of being held and treasured like this.
He studied his face for a while, not wanting to move and lose the warmth blooming around them. His furrowed brows and slightly parted lips gave him the most adorable magnetism.
Captain found it hard to stop a genuine smile from showing through- he'd never seen his cute sleepy face like this before. Not even the drool on his chin would deter him from the sudden need he felt to kiss him senseless.
There's a time and place for that though, and it isn't right now. He opted for placing the softest peck on his cheek, right over the prettiest mole that's become his fatal obsession out of nowhere.
The sudden contact made Tae stir and open his eyes.
Captain thought he'd get shoved and pushed for being so close to his personal space, but the boy gave him a quiet smile and mumbled things that made his heart race even faster.
"You're even prettier in my dreams." followed by a glowing grin and Tae's hand caressing Captain's lips like he wanted to kiss them.
Wait.. Did he want to kiss him?? Captain nearly lost his mind.
The strength it took him to not devour him right then and there was definitely not befitting a human.
Why was he so kissable? Why did he want to bury himself in his skin, make a little place for himself and mould them together as one?
"Tae, you're not dreaming." is what he managed to say in the end, hoping his friend would realize what was going on before he threw away their friendship and made him his boyfriend in the next 2 seconds.
That seemed to do the job because Tae's eyes grew wide with surprise and he immediately pulled back in an effort to hide himself along the sofa.
Become one with the cushions. Be reborn as a damn piece of furniture cause what the hell is Captain doing holding him like this and looking at him like he's the most precious thing in the world??
"C-Captain???" He hates that he stuttered.
He had no idea what was going on, one second he was curled up on the sofa wallowing in his pity, and the next he wakes up in Captain's arms??
What in the world is happening?
"Yeah I'm back Tae. Can we talk?" The attempt to steer the conversation away from their current predicament was not that successful.
"Um, sure. But... what happened and why are we in this situation?" he gestured wildly between them and the very limited space separating them with his hands.
