The Au:

A bit based on Fanfic Ideas- 4(Demon Slayer)

Sanemi and Genya met Gyomei who unfortunately had arrived too late but took them in which lead to Sanemi and Kanae meeting earlier and marrying plus Sanemi and Genya having a good relationship.

Kanae still dies but she leaves behind a husband and two children besides her sisters.

Makomo survives her Final Selection but loses a leg and arm.

Sabito also survives Final Selection as the demon takes his arm(instead of head) and Murata and a few others are able to rescue him without any of them dying.

Giyuu has been partially mute since his sister's death but with time and help of those he is close to, he has grown to talk more often.

Seeing that Senjuro didn't have talent for Flame Breathing, Shinjuro sent him to learn from other hashiras/slayers until Senjuro finally found one that fit him(insect breathing).

Yuichiro wasn't completely dead and was found by Kokushibo who saved him by turning him into a demon and later taught him moon breathing.

Kaigaku did not betray Gyomei(he did steal some money to buy gifts for the rest of the kids but he hadn't noticed that a demon followed him) and he was turned into a demon as he and Jigoro were attacked by a Lowermoon with Jigoro dying to protect his other disciples and Kaigaku almost dying but having been saved by Kokushibo.

Genya once ate a piece of a uppermoon and since then turned fully into a demon(but is not affected by the sun or feels hungry for human meat or/and blood).

The Kamados are actually Yoriichi's descendants, Kokushibo found Uta who had been pregnant and helped her give birth but unfortunately Uta didn't survive so Kokushibo left the child with one of the Kamado's neighbors and then Sumiyoshi's child fell into with Yoriichi's child(because there is no way the Kamados look so much with Yoriichi and share not even a single drop of blood with him). Kokushibo left a blanket with the child's name sew into it with the child.

The 12 Kizuki aren't in Muzan's side, after they ate their first human they suddenly gained all their memories and beliefs back so while they act like they are on his side none of them(including Douma) truly are. The humans they do eat, they are careful to make sure they are the scum of earth(abusers, rapists, murderers, etc) plus some of their backstories would change a bit.

Hantengu had a male lover before he became a demon and said lover choose to become a demon to stay beside him, they got married not long after becoming demon. They have a child together, Hantengu's lover is named Tadashi while their child is named Rei.
