I don't understand why this has to happen to me. I'm stuck floating upside down due to a spell gone wrong, Again. I'm supposed to be practicing to do some tricks for Montgomery and his boyfriend's 3rd anniversary. And he told me it wasn't going to last! I knew Reagan was the one for him. Anyway, back to me and my problem. My name is Lady Alisa Blackburn Riddle, no I'm not related to Tom Riddle.... Yes, my parents were obsessed with Harry Potter. I am 24 years old, and yes I am a witch. No, I did not go to Hogwarts. I went to Greybright School of Witchcraft, an all-female school.

Let's just say I did many things that I don't regret, but I wish I had waited. No, I did not lose my virginity. Not yet, at least. I don't understand why people are so obsessed with finding their person. I'm single and just fine. I don't know why, but I know I will always dread Valentine's Day, which is now in 6 days. Like every year I'll get a ton of cards, and like every year I'll decline every one.

After I finally got down, I heard a knock on my lab door. Knowing who was on the other side of the door I shouted, "Come in!" Montgomery walked in followed by a stranger. "Hello, Alisa. I know you're busy preparing for the anniversary...but I've come to ask a favor of you...If that's alright?" He paused, waiting for my reply. "You should know my answer to that. It always depends on what the favor is asking and who's asking". He smiled, "Well this favor entails traveling to Evenmeadow for at least a month..." He knew how much I loved traveling, especially to Evenmeadow. It's where the first witches opened the first school of witchcraft in 1987!

That's over a century ago! I've always wanted to go back and learn more about my family's history, as my ancestors were around long before the first school. My ancestors had to hide their identities, and even then, the non-magic folk still found them out but were unsuccessful in trying to find out what killed us. But that was way back when witchcraft was outlawed. Now that schools are training in witchcraft, witchcraft is used everywhere.

"Evenmeadow? What kind of favor could involve Evenmeadow, not that I'm complaining." He sighed "I forgot. This is Professor Keene Monroe, he is a bit lost, and I was wondering if you could help seeing as you know the city like the end of your wand. Or so I've been told..?" I looked at Professor Monroe, contemplating the pros and cons of helping him. I was mid-thought when he suddenly spoke. "I would be honored if you would accompany me on this journey, I assure you it will be worth it." He dipped his head, before looking directly into my eyes and smiling. I finally realized why Montgomery wanted me to do this for him. "Professor...Are you a vampire?" I could hear him hold his breath, before replying, "Yes. It is not something I am proud of, but it is a part of me I'm afraid". I turned towards the only window in my lab. I had very bad memories because of a vampire. Vampires are the reason my mother is gone, and my brother is afraid to leave his house. "I'll...think about it. Montgomery, I'm sure you know it will be hard for me. Please, let me sleep on it and I'll owl you in the morning or afternoon when I've made my decision." Montgomery nodded "I understand. Do try and get some sleep. Don't overwork yourself because of the anniversary, as that's not for another 3 months. Goodnight." "Good night, Monty."

After they left, I cleaned up my lab and headed up to my sleeping chambers. I decided to shower and finish some letters to old classmates. After about two hours of doing that, I realized it was almost 11:30 pm. I decided to head to bed, after all, I had a big decision to make tomorrow.
