Boats don't fly but as the waves broke
The anchor lost it's grip on the world that had choked
Now unmoored and free to feel the wind without its sails
The sailors all abandon as the sky begins to pale
Everything is happening because you must have past stop to pause on the porch
And I light another torch, the flames will go out but on the couch is the scorch
And the mirrored thoughts of my mind collide with the trained tracks from inside that snap back and rewind that snap shut with a whine that shut down 10 then 9 that download like concubines
I've only got a few words left that are black and white no stress I can't rap but I write like I'm in congress, an avox, tongue-less if my thoughts were a colour they'd be a dark mess
I'm down to three now can you believe how with sweat on my brow I came to terms with that crowd
And if that weren't enough to prove it to be detrimental the bond was timed the bond was rental the hands reach out the sirens shout the smile hooks the ones that risk looks
The brain decays memories now strays time is money but reminiscing doesn't pay the words cut deep but they don't slay it's dawn but no new day the final copy on a metal tray
