You were sitting outside of the school, waiting, to be exact. Waiting for what you ask? That's what you were wondering. You had gotten a text from Miko, telling you to be outside the school in ten minutes. School had already ended, about half an hour ago, so you were slightly annoyed at the fact you would have to walk back to the school then walk back home.

Speak of the Devil, there Miko was. Running out of the school. A teacher not so far behind her.
''Oh Miko...what did you do now?''
You watched your friend run out of the school, waving her hands frantically. Once she reached you, she grabbed your arm and started dragging you, still sprinting. You looked back to see the teacher with her arms crossed at the entrance of the school, her expression one of pure annoyance. Once you had ran a safe distance from the school, she came to a stop, panting.

''Seriously Miko? Running from detention just gives you more detention.'' You rolled your eyes as you scolded her.
''Aw c'mon Aki, you can't blame me, Miss is soo boring!'' The girl in front of you crossed her arm, letting out a sigh. She used her nickname for you, which stemmed from your last name, Akiyama.

You rolled your eyes again at Miko, something you seemed to do a lot in her presence. You started walking, ignoring Miko as she tried to defend herself. ''Okay but you can't blame me-'' ''I was sooo bored!'' ''As long as I avoid her on Monday I won't be in trouble!!'' Miko's phone suddenly blared that rock ringtone of hers and once she read the name she rolled her eyes. It was her host parents. Once she answered you could hear a mix of worried and agitated yelling. She sighed, her free hand moving up and down in a mocking motion.

You shook your head, when would this girl learn? After that phone call, in which Miko shared some... interesting words with her host parents, she yawned and looked back at you.
''I gotta get back to my host parents, seeya on Sunday okay?''

You nodded, watching her walk off. You waved goodbye, before starting your own walk to your host parents' house. As much as Miko annoyed you sometimes, you two had been friends for ages. You loved her like a sister and cherished your time together. Even if her music taste and ''band practice'' made your ears bleed sometimes.

As you made it to the door of your host parents' house, you couldn't help but hope things would stay the same. Well, a few things could change but that's it...

True to her word, Miko showed up at your host parents' house, looking to hang out. Or more specifically, your bedroom window. At 6AM. ON A SUNDAY. What was wrong with this girl!? She can't get up on time to be at school but she can be at your window at 6AM on the weekend to hang out? She really needs to get her priorities straight...

You, of course, were still in bed. So you were more than slightly irked when you heard a tap-tap-tap-tap-tap-tap-BANG-BANG on your window. Clearly she was impatient. You got up from your bed, walking over to the window. You opened it up and saw her holding onto the roof tiles for dear life. The moment you opened the window she jumped in, landing on her feet before falling down onto the ground.

''WHY ARE YOU HERE?!'' You whisper-yelled to avoid waking up your host parents. She held her hands up in a mock-surrender gesture, that grin you knew all too well on her face.
''I said I was gonna see you tomorrow didn't I? And it's tomorrow right now!''

A beat of silence.

''I hate you.''
''No you don't.''
''No I don't...''

''At least let me get dressed?'' You muttered, a hand rubbing the bridge of your nose in annoyance. Miko nodded and turned around, occupying herself by going through the room you were staying in.

Once you had gotten dressed Miko dragged you downstairs, not bothering being quiet. You had to sit her down and force her to be quiet while you wrote a note for your host parents, explaining that you were fine and they could call you when they woke up.

Miko just dragged you around the town, to different shops, past the school and just sitting down at random places.
Eventually you were hungry so you went to KO drive burger place. Now, you didn't have a car, so you just walked around the sides and paid for the food. The guy at the window was a tired looking teenager, a bit older than you two. He looked surprised when there was no car in sight but didn't question it.

The food was okay, but both of you still ate it because you were just that hungry. You ended up at her host parents' house, doing ''band practice in her room.'' Eventually she dropped you back off at your host parents' house, where you found them watching the news. Something about car crashes and motorcycles and a muscle car... you didn't really say anything, simply walked up to the room you were staying in.

You had stayed out all day with Miko, so you just wanted to fall asleep right now. You changed into your night clothes then flopped onto your bed. You almost immediately fell asleep, your body seeming to realise ''Ughh school tomorrow, need rest to deal with that.''
