Same, same but different!

Part 10

When she picks up the remote to switch on the TV, she moves to sit on the couch and gets a big fright seeing Ömer sleeping on the couch.

Mavi: Babaaaaa what are you doing?

Ömer doesn't wake up.

She taps he cheek a few times. And Ömer slowly wakes up.

Ömer: Babacım why are you hitting me?

Mavi: You gave me a fright. Why are you sleeping here? You have a big bed, you know.

Ömer slowly sits up running his hands over his face. He pinches her cheek softly.

Ömer: You're too big for your shoes sometimes. My bed is occupied Mavi and I was watching a movie here and fell asleep.

Mavi is stuck on the occupied.

Mavi: What is oppupie baba?

Ömer laughs. Mavi snuggles onto Ömer's lap.

Ömer: It means that there's someone sleeping in my room.

Mavi looks confused.

Mavi: Who is sleeping there baba? Ayse abla?

Ömer shocked by Mavi, couldn't even speak.

Ömer: Kızım... no.

Mavi: Okay then who?

Ömer has a policy between him and Mavi. He always tells her the truth but unfortunately now she's too little to be told the whole truth so, he has to partially lie to her. Making him feel guilty but sometimes he has to do things as a parent he doesn't like to keep his daughter sane.

Ömer: Promises you won't scream. We don't want to wake our guest.

Mavi nods her yes.

Ömer: Kıvılcım abla...

Ömer saw that Mavi was about to scream so he quickly puts his hand over her mouth, stopping her.

Ömer: Mavi, what did I just say?

Mavi: Sorry baba. Sometimes my screams come from a place far far away, I don't know how to stop it.

Mavi jumps on the couch and then she sits back down.

Mavi: Did Kıvılcım abla sleep over so she can surprise me?

Her eyes light up.

Ömer thought for a second. She has my clothes on how do I explain this. He thinks for a second and says:

Omer: Yes, she came straight from work. We also worked a lot. She didn't feel so good so I gave her some medicine, told her to take a shower and go sleep.

Mavi kisses his cheek.

Mavi: You took good care of her.

Ömer: Some little girl told me that anyone who's sick, I should always try to help.  (he kisses her forehead) I'm going to start breakfast, you promise to be quiet and not wake Kıvılcım abla?

Mavi: I promise.

Ömer leaves to the kitchen and starts preparing breakfast while Mavi watches her cartoon. She starts getting restless and wants to go to Kıvılcım. She doesn't want to upset Ömer but she did cross her fingers behind her back, making her promise not really valid.

She quietly gets up from the couch. She tiptoes towards the stairs, she glances slightly at the kitchen where Ömer has his back turned to her. Quietly but fast Mavi goes upstairs.
