"What you seek is seeking you." - Rumi
Ömer finally pushed back from his desk, rising to his full height, his gaze sweeping over her. The black dress, the defiant stance, the fire in her eyes. It all ignited something primal within him. He felt the pull, an undeniable current drawing him closer.
Kıvılcım stood firm in her steps. Smoke coming out of her ears.
Kıvılcım: Why are you trying to sabotage me?
Ömer: Sabotage?
Ömer's voice was a soft, dangerous whisper, the storm brewing within him. His eyes, dark and intense, seemed to bore into hers, searching, challenging.
Kıvılcım: Yes sabotage. A petty vendetta because I dared to call you out on your recklessness? You, a grown man, resorting to economic warfare over a bruised ego?
Ömer steps even more towards Kıvılcım, almost closing the gap between them.
Ömer: Kıvılcım my ego...
Before Ömer finished his words Kıvılcım interrupted him.
Kıvılcım: hanım... Kıvılcım hanım.
Ömer slightly gives an annoyed smile and scratches his face.
Omer: Kıvılcım hanım (putting emphasis on the hanım), my ego doesn't get easily bruised. I only found out earlier today you wanted those paintings.
Her eyes narrowed, trying to maintain her fierce composure, but a new, unsettling current was weaving through her anger. She could feel his gaze on her lips, then trailing down to the exposed skin of her cleavage, and a shiver, entirely unbidden, traced its way down her spine. She stepped even closer to Ömer, basically closing the gap between them. Tempting him even more. She lifts her chin to meet his gaze.
Kıvılcım: Ömer I'm warning you for the last time, I'm not a woman to be messed with. When it comes to my gallery, I will do anything for it. My son likes you and this job, so I'm warning you for the last time. For the sake of my son I'll drop this but do anything idiotic like this again and I'll take you to hell and back.
Ömer wasn't saying anything. He just met her gaze. He wasn't just looking at her with annoyance or even anger anymore; he was looking at her like a man possessed, a hunger in his eyes that made her stomach clench. Kıvılcım realized something. The way he was looking at her. His eyes was saying something. If anyone was in the room with them and saw Ömer looking at her like this they would realize the exact same thing. Kıvılcım narrowed her eyes and says without hesitation.
Kıvılcım: So this is why you're challenging me?
When Ömer heard this he snapped out of it. He stepped back and turned his head looking away. Kıvılcım looked at him for a minute and walked away. When she got to the office door, Ömer spoke and she stopped in her track.
Ömer: It only takes an apology and the paintings are yours.
Kıvılcım has her back turned and she answers him without looking back.
Kıvılcım: Don't wait in vain.
She walks away, leaving Ömer in his office that feels like someone had turned up the heat. Ömer picks up the phone and calls Can.
Ömer: Are you back in İstanbul yet?
Can: Landed about an hour ago.
Ömer: Let's go get a drink at our spot.
Can: I'll be there in an half an hour.
Ömer: Okay.
Ömer gets his things and leaves the office.
