In the days that followed, it was always you who brought them together.
Tamaki didn't talk much, but you had started to understand his language.
When he handed you a single grape without saying a word-it was his way of showing affection.
When he scribbled your name on his notebook only to tear the page out in embarrassment-that meant he already saw you as his friend.
As for Touya... the more Tamaki offered you candy, the deeper Touya's frown became.
"He's shy to an annoying degree," Touya muttered one day.
"And you're annoying to a shy degree," you shot back, poking his forehead with your finger.

Then came that day...
"Today we'll have a simple hero training simulation!" the teacher announced.
The objective: rescue a small doll placed on a high shelf-without using violence.
"Team one: Nejire, Touya, and Tamaki."
Perfect. Chaos Squad, back again. This had to be fate.

You entered the training room, with the teacher observing from a distance.
"So... do we have a plan?" you asked with a hopeful grin.
"Burn the box," said Touya flatly.
"I... I could maybe... climb... or not... never mind... sorry..." Tamaki mumbled, sticking a finger in his mouth.
"Brilliant strategy, leave it to me!" you announced, beginning to float.
Only, you flew the wrong way... and slammed into the wall.
"You're the supposed leader?" Touya snorted.
"Don't mock me, Mr. Let's-Burn-the-Box!" you shouted back.
As you bickered, Tamaki quietly moved. He climbed onto a chair, morphed his arms into octopus tendrils using Manifest, and carefully grabbed the doll.
"Oh... I did it..." he whispered to himself-right before falling off the chair.
You all rushed to him.
"Tamaki! Are you okay?!" you shouted in panic.

At the end of the day, the three of you sat together.
"Tamaki actually did it!" you said proudly.
"I didn't do anything important..." he murmured, staring at the ground.
